That's it.

That's it. I'm done.

Obama, the 'agent of change' dumps on the biggest threat to the safety of EVERY AMERICAN under the Bush OR McCain administrations.

I'm done.

I will not work to get him elected.

I regret giving him money. For christ sakes, with all that is wrong with this country from runaway religious fanatics in the military the judicial and executive branches (and so many many many other things), Mr 'I'm for change' pulls his head father into his ass!

Bush was half right: If you don't stand for anything, you fall for nothing. I'm disgusted. I'm humiliated. I'm dumbstruck. That jerk could have just sat on his hands for a few weeks rather than roll fucking over like a worthless coward... This will bite his ass in November.

Are the hundreds of thousands of people that are (were?) behind him really that worthless? Or, is he that inept and brain dead that he's walking around thinking this is 'good for America' with a silly Dukakis grin on his face?

Who are the handlers that got him to believe that this was a 'good idea' and the 'change' that we all wanted? Are they the same bunch of idiots that cost Dukakis and Kerry their presidencies? I remember an article in Mother Jones about the 'brain trust' that all the democratic candidates run to when they want 'to win' and they always end up flaming out...

I'm abjectly destroyed...

With so much time left on Bush's 'presidency' (I can't say the 'l' word because the only way he's lead is down the shitter) this is a disastrous vote... DISASTROUS VOTE!!!

Please someone: Please tell me there's a ray of sunshine in all this... I NEED IT SO BADLY RIGHT NOW...

Uh...

Let's hope the d's are smarter than the average bear. Hasn't been teh first time he chose covering his people's as* over the american people. Let's show teh world what these fascsits are about. If the spineless senate dem's have brain, they will do it and put the onance on bush.

"If the Senate were to prevail in removing telecom immunity from the current bill, then it would function as a poison pill, and my money says Bush would veto it.

If the Senate is successful in moving the telecom immunity provision into a separate bill ... then, maybe, it buys some time.

Am I hopelessly over the edge?

-- bystander

If the Senate takes the immunity out then it has to go back to the House (or a conference committee (think back room, no lights)) because it's not the same bill. IF the senate does take immunity out of the piece of shit, it will be a while before Bush can have another one 'produced' by the house.

At this point, if I remember my government classes, the senate either 'fish's or cuts bait'. They either pass the bill as-is or they take out the knives. One way and we could have a 'law' in days, the other and it'll start stinking like a bait shop with no air conditioning pretty quick...

I honestly thought that he wouldn't...

I honestly thought that he wouldn't roll on this. I EXPECTED that he wouldn't roll on this. It's too big an issue and way to much of a loaded gun pointed at the 'enemies of the Bushies'...

Christ, this will make the movie 'Enemy of the State' look like a historical retrospective!

For those of us who HOPEd, but did not really expect, that Obama really would, on principle, fulfill his oath to defend our Constitutional rights, this is simply his declaration that, just like many if not most other Democrats and just about all Republicans, principle will always come second to political expediency.

I guess that's a load of monkey shit smeared under my nose... Pardon me while I wipe it off and stumble back to my cage...

Obama.

Obama is all too cocky to think that he's going to survive to be president after all this and be able to do something meaningful about it.

But remember Slick Willy? William 'Bubba' Clinton? With all the added toys from the Reagan and Bush I administrations, he didn't waste any time unassembling any of it. I expect the same...

Either he's the dumbest dumbass or Obama actually thinks that he's going to win. Playing chicken with the constitution isn't a way to win friends and supporters.

Nihilism...

I guess I'm enough of a Nihilist to believe that by only allowing McCain to really fuck things up and his successor and their successor will we be rid of this infestation, this fetid disease, this cancer called 'conservatism'.

If the candidate that is supposed to support US (We the people) and he/she doesn't, then I guess I really don't have a problem with the other guy winning.

When you think about it, would you rather have someone that you know you can't trust in office or someone who you do trust and time and again fails you on the big items.

Obama backs 'cap and trade'. Obama backs 'clean coal'. Obama backs endless presidential snooping in our lives.

On the 'big issues', how much difference is there? I'm no troll. I'm just wiser to the game.

Jennifer Granholm stood in front of me and about a hundred activists and swore on the sacred ground that she supported the environment and would do all in her power to protect it.

I guess her idea of protecting the environment is more coal plants and less environmental laws.

I'm wiser. I'm saying 'bring it on'! The republicans only destroy themselves with their extremism. Obama takes a piece of my heart with every betrayal. I'd rather not have hope and watch them flame out than be trampled by my own team.
