Immunity...

Immunity for the cheaters...

Yes, Bush has immunized the entire Wall Street establishment.

Yes, Bush, asleep at the wheel (AGAIN!!!) gets someone else to bail out his ass from yet another catastrophic fuckup.

And, in the true spirit of Bushist 'republicanism', this will be yet another success in the mold of 9/11 for the Bush Empire.

There was a slideshow on MSN last night that told how the perpetraitors of this mess 'made out'.

Some as much as 121.5 MILLION dollars!

One Lehman exec walks away with 68+ million.

It pays to be a fuckup and nearly kill your country!

Is this what McCain means by 'Country First'? WE the people come in and save the day for the 'down and out' multimillionaires?

And meanwhile, government is getting smaller and in danger of drowning in that bathtub. I can hear the cries about cutting discretionary pending already...

I'm tempted to vote McCain just to see how bad it can get but knowing that Iran still lives under a totalitarian religious stranglehold, it could take a long time to cleanze the Palinists from office...

Well thank god that...

Well thank god that Mark Foley is a Republican or his pilloring would be front page news...

Oh, wait. He's not being charged with ANY crime?

Nevermind...

But if he were a Democrat...

Original article: Sarah Palin, energy expert

Ummmm...

She sort of said BOTH things. Limiting 'export bans' and 'feeding hungry domestic markets' and followed up with 'It's got to flow into our domestic markets first' which doesn't make any sense.

Flow into the domestic markets first and limit the export bans?

Well, sure, Sarah. Maybe you need Alaska's 'first dude' to help you figure that out, or maybe you could appoint a 'National Manager' so that you would be free to concentrate on the finer things of being a world leader like: removing all of the medieval torture devices from the VP's house and redoing the whole thing in red velvet flocked wall paper, and don't forget the tanning bed and snowmobile racing area.... Oh one thing Sarah, the reflecting pool is already a 'dead lake': No extra effort needed, sweetie...

Original article: Ask the pilot

I used to fly Untied...

I used to fly United everywhere but after they stopped flying larger planes into our airport, I switched to NorthWest.

My dad worked in a very small regional airport that had the old Republic Airlines 'wounded duck' and NorthWest bought them out. I swear that they still fly the same planes...

Yes, NorthWest is 'rustic'. What do you expect for an airline that perfected whipsawing their unions to an art form. They beat and bludgeoned their workers so much. I stopped flying them when they had a long strike and many 'labor actions' against them a number of years ago.

American carriers have the shittyist records for comfort and many other ratings but their management teams make out well...

Welcome to 'Bushanomics' and the life of the Great and Powerful CEO and their huge pay and benefits. Don't forget their 'golden parachute' they get on the way out the door, and the 'golden shower' the workers get on a continuous basis...

I know a few gay people, and...

most of them vote democrat, except for this one guy.

He's been married. He got divorced. His wife said that he never slept with her. Ever. Understandable... Didn't she get the clue? He's a physician in this small town. That news would go over well I'm sure...

So, he goes up to my spouse and starts spilling alligator tears over the 2004 elections. How poorly he's treated at the local GOP office. 'All they want is my money' he says (really now.)

It's probably like in Lethal Weapon when Danny Glover as Murtaugh does that thing in the South African embassy... 'But he's black!'

He's a gay man. He might as well be a leper to them.

So, back to the alligator tears: He's pissed and sobbing that the local GOP outpost won't give him the time of day. They actually told him the wrong day for a meeting so that he couldn't show up. (I'd be pissed too) But. Uh. Professor. You are gay. They hates teh gay like the plague that they are sure that you are going to bring to the world from the gates of hell. They are freaking insane, and you can't see that?

Huh...
