BULLSHIT!
If Jennifer Granholm had not signed the legislation that created this mess, well, we wouldn't be in it!
She is more and more a republican than a democrat and it ticks me off. She's a republican tool and is ruining the environment in Michigan (fast tracking 7 coal plants and dealing with Dow Chemical to water down their liability in a horrendous case of dioxin contamination that makes Love Canal look like your bathtub!
I think that person after person is trying very hard to give the election to John McCain. The idea of dragging out the democratic campaign for weeks and potentially MONTHS is all about drawing their attention to each other and NOT McCain. It's working wonders.
How much did Limbaugh's urging for people to vote for Hillary play in her 'winning'? The GOP is setting up Hillary so that she can be 'taken out' by Rovian style dirty tricks...
I don't think that Hillary can beat McCain and I wonder what the GOP will pull out in time to distract people from the democratic ticket in November. If it looks like they will lose then they will get desperate... Will Bin Laden be wheeled out of the freezer in Quantico? Stay tuned...
Watching NBC 6:30 news: McCain isn't 'Bush light', he's the next Bush, taking up where Bush leaves off... YIKES!!! =8-O
I live in Michigan.
On the primary, knowing that only Hillary and 'undecided' were the only 2 choices, I voted for Huckabee.
Why? Low hanging fruit. If 'Huck' got the nomination he would be shown the door so fast that it would make his head spin (or so I hoped).
Would I like to change my vote to Obama? Oh yes... Would I like the state to pay millions for the ability to do that? If it meant stopping Hillary, YES.
As I said earlier, Granholm caused this mess by signing the legislation to move the date earlier. SHE should pay for it, her and her 'moderate republican' sycophants. How about the DeVos family paying? They'd love to screw up Michigan since slick Dick wasn't 's'elected governor...
From the FactCheck.org website:
Still, the Clinton ad makers may have darkened the Obama images intentionally, to some degree. When it comes to video editing, the possibilities are overwhelming. But that doesn't necessarily mean their motives were racist. We note that the entire ad is cast in dark tones and even Hillary Clinton herself appears in shadows, as though she were working late into the night.
Anyone that has done any video editing and worked with any photos on a computer knows that you sacrifice something for the ability to handle them on a computer.
Pros call it an 'artifact'. Something left in, or taken out, by the process. Are we going to get all worked up over an 'artifact', a result of the processing?
I guess I have to wonder why the Clinton camp would flirt with this dynamite (assuming that they did cook the video slightly). It could be shoddy editing, cheap software or deliberate. I guess I'm willing to give the benefit of a doubt, but she's playing with a thermonuclear device that could destroy the chances for any democrat to win this election...
How about seating passengers from the front back? The front bins would fill up naturally with people sitting in that area and you wouldn't have people 'stashing and running' to the back of the plane. Once you had people seated then do the next rows, although some people seem to take forever to sit down.
Although my wife had an experience last year where the bins in the back were full. She walked forward and stuck her bag in the aft most bin near the front of the plane and then while seated watched a flight attendant remove her bag and head for the exit door. There were still many open slots for carry-ons in that area and she couldn't figure out what was happening. She lept up and confronted the person who then started getting angry and quoting some arcane rules about carry-on baggage and proper placement of same and told my wife that she would check her bag and that she could get it at her final destination (after a 3 hour layover at the next stop). After pointing out that the bag contained her computer and that all of the aft bins were full, the attendant huffily said that it would have to be checked anyway because she wasn't seated in that area and started walking off toward the door again. My wife grabbed it and said that she would stick it under the seat. After a brief struggle, the attendant released the bag and my wife headed to her seat. Later she found out that she was branded a 'troublemaker' and was lectured on proper respect for attendants and proper usage of carry-on bins on the way out of the plane. She couldn't believe it.
I said that I was surprised that they didn't bounce her off the flight for daring to talk back to a flight attendant. They have the ultimate power it would seem. But people that were near the altercation evidently took her side as a few congratulated her on winning the fuss...
And would flying on Aeroflot or a Chinese nation be any different I wondered...
I invested in the Bose headphones for my ipod and they work wonders.
Although I do also miss announcements and the attendants often have to nudge me to get my attention. I wonder if they are a safety hazard because they work so well.
A little Clash or Green Day on my ipod and my headphones and I'm set...
