I'm sure that Musharif(sp) has Osama waiting in some rat hole somewhere just waiting for October so that he can be led out of the hole and into republican history as the key to winning the election that they couldn't win.

My accountant was venting yesterday about where things are heading. He's not convinced to anywhere good.

He has 'many' corporations as clients and 'many' of those corporations are hitting him with 'outrageous' requests for him to 'cook' their books.

He had one 'large corporation' in our area tell him that if he didn't 'cook their books' they way that they demanded, they would take their accounting business elsewhere.

He said that It's never been this bad and wondered out loud 'how long it will take for another Enron to happen'.

This country and those that govern it are hastening the decline into the abyss of third (turd) world status. Evidently Bush and his cronies have been studying communist China and the 'old USSR' and by giving business (and the CofC) what they want, they can ride the crest of the bribes and hush money to a fat and leisurely retirement.

The same is no doubt true for Rockefeller and all who have accepted money from the telecoms. To have the Bush administration taken to court for illegalities in spying on citizens would open a titanic floodgate that could sink the GOP and America. But this cancer, left unaddressed, WILL consume the country and all who live or deal with it. And less people will walk away with hidden bags of ill gotten ca$h...

And what the hell, Bush and Cheney and Rockefeller and all the rest will be dead soon enough so what do they care if they squeeze and extort more cash to make their remaining days happy and very plush...

That is why I think it's smart to vote for the youngest rather than the oldest person running for president. At least their money grabs will be easier to catch, I hope... They would also have more time to spend in jail (HAH!) for ripping us off...

My comments about Bush, Cheney and Rockefeller, et all, not living long was aimed at their ages. Not some threat against them per se.

And, rather pitifully, some Democrats are shocked -- so very upset -- that, yet again, their demonstrated willingness to give the Republicans everything they demanded has not prompted a Good, Nice, Courteous Response. "We did everything you told us to do. Why are you being so mean and unfair?" That sad posture is what led even Jay Rockefeller apparently to announce that he will vote against cloture on his own bill.

Whatever happened to the idea of an 'opposition' party? Is everyone so afraid of being called chicken that they play dead at the slightest impulse?

And some democrats wonder why 'congress' has such bad rating in polls and rates lower than Bush himself on may of them. Pathetic, but that doesn't do justice to what they have done.

Yes, the Loyal Bushies own the teevee and radio stations and yes those outlets will be instructed to roast any democrat that dares to show balls but for god's sake, how long is this going to continue? When does the idea of the government being in business to protect the citizens that pay for it and used to elect to members of it resume? When does democracy and the need for an opposition party enter into their minds. When does restoring what the loyal Bushies have stolen become something that should happen.

It was said that politics was like making sausage, you didn't want to watch it made. Well these politicians aren't making sausage. It's nothing even close to sausage.

And what if it hits Paris France? London England? Ankor Wat? Tokyo? Chicago? Honolulu? Sydney? Manhattan?

It's bad enough that China has satellites self-destructing and spewing chunks all over and now we have a 'school bus sized' 'locked and loaded' 'fully fueled(!)' toxic weapon of mass destruction that is uncontrolled about to crash into who knows where...

And if you believe that *no one* in the spook factories in Langley know where it's going to crash dive, well I have a Holiday Inn in space to sell you... ;-)

People know where it's likely to come down. Why the 'official silence'? Who knows? Is it too late to get a shuttle up there to try to catch it or a Ronnie Raygun style distributed energy weapon to knock it out if its current crash down spot?
