The 'Justice' department is run by people at the end of leashes held by 'republican' heavy hitters...

I'd be even more surprised if anything constructive comes out of this 'Justice' department investigation and 'plea bargain'...
Remember Watergate? I firmly believe that the cancer that almost brought down America was largely left untouched and has relapsed with a vengeance to finish the job now... The malignancy ran farther and deeper and wider through the 'republican' party then was ever discovered... Tricky 'Dick' Nixon fell on the sword for the party, not America...
Sorry to be so pessimistic. We are talking about 'politics' here and the Bush league 'republicans' play for keeps... Political 'hacks' control many agencies. Expecting a gut wrenching expose of the 'republican' party and a pogrom of 'evildoers' is unrealistic...

But the current 'christian' movement isn't about changing themselves to be right with 'God', but changing the world to be right with them.

Blacks apparently are ready to throw themselves at the feet of racist and greedy evil men (and women) and throw themselves back into a racist form of government all with the help and support of people who should know better but are blinded by the money and power...
2006 will be a very interesting year... Especially if the 'religious' rights version of a culture war succeeds in hoodwinking the minority populations of America in time for the next selections in November...

I think that people's lack of being able to deal with their own sexuality on an adult basis is what is making this country the new laughing stock of the 'civilized' world. These people really need to get a life and a grip on reality. The horse is out of the barn and disavowing any assistance for keeping the girls 'unpregnant' and 'uninfected' should be a greater goal than being 'virginal' in a very cold and vicious world...

I live in the area where this guy lives. According to the local paper, this 'man' admitted in court and 'took responsibility' for the child. Now he wants to deny that?
For this little boy I have only to say that the baby didn't get there on it's own. It took TWO (2) human beings to create that child. He was one of them. The 'I can't get pregnant' line falls right along side those other clichés like 'The check is in the mail', 'I'm on the pill', 'She has a great personality' and 'It's not about the money'...
This boy-man is victimizing the woman AND the judicial system with this ridiculous lawsuit.
He should be locked up for being stupid, not honored for sticking up for cowardly fathers that would rather hide than face the consequences for the life they HELPED create.
I’m insulted that he claims to be a man when he obviously is just a little jerk that knocked up some woman and now wants to destroy her AND their child. A poster child for male stupidity and ‘testosterone thinking’, but not a victim of some ruthless woman and a 'run amok' judicial system… This is what my dad would call a ‘growing up moment’… It's time this one did.

My mom would have just about killed for the silver spoon up her butt. She wanted to stay home but my dad was in the Army (twice in Vietnam) and the family needed the money in a bad way. BTW:The Army pay is a disgrace to the men that went over there and gave their lives for this country! You, Ms. Flanagan, disgrace the memory of my mother who wished for the luxury of a 'stay at home job' with a 'stay at home nanny'...

I seem to remember some translators from BASIC to C. HAH, try to find a straight 'C' compiler anymore... I think that you can still download Turbo C for free and there was a version of BASIC and Pascal by Borland as well.
Yes, it's a shame that current support for BASIC has died. Ahh the halcyon days of my youth with a TRS-80 and a cassette deck...
