  • The subtext to so-called macho appeal in America

I think what all this hints at but doesn't really investigate is a deep current of homophobia. My best friend, who is Swedish, used to get really angry because she couldn't find any clothes to buy her little boy that weren't black, blue or brown. Her son was taught manners, but so many parents I know in the US will not discipline their sons because they would rather have them throwing rocks than be sissy. From what I have seen, so much of male aggressive posturing in this country can be attributed to ambivalence about sexual orientation.

...is a wierd distraction. This is an American election, it doesn't help make the case to have a foreigner announcing and makes it a little hard to understand. I love the concept of exposing Republican phoniness though.

Obama isn't slipping behind. He is being rational, humorous, and inspirational. Hillary Clinton is full of shit! Bosnia shipers?

    Give me a break!

Please, I really like reading Salon. Especially Glenn Greenwald. But if you keep this up I will relegate this site to the trash bin because like someone's wife, you are making me SCREAM!

FOR GOD'S SAKE. Get a grip.
