  • don't count dodd out

while the m$m is anointing hillary the dems choice, what happens if there is no clear nominee? as an early edwards supporter, i feel this is where he has failed and dodd has been quick to seize the mantle. sure, edwards doesn't have the forum of the senate anymore, but that can be liberating as well. i think he has blown it, and good for dodd.

hillary & obama continue to disappoint. ron paul? not yet...

the sad thing here is if you really wanted get the attention of the iranian populice, introduce a tomato blight. their cuisine is almost totally tomato based and this past summer due to a natural shortage, prices rose as regular folks could not afford them. while i don't advocate screwing with farmers, 'tis better than bombs.

  • david sugarman...

[Read the article: Hitlers, Hitlers and more Hitlers]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...as i've stated before, should be allowed to post as long his posts are not blatently offensive. at the risk of of having several respected (by me) posters come down on me, i don't see the problem. he is prolific, off the wall and annoying, but i don't like censorship of opinions because someone is annoyed. or so i try to tell my kids...

iran is not 1933 germany, and all our attempts to link the two are no more valid than the saddam/wmd/9/11 links. it ain't going to happen. there will be no world wide caliphate until the sunnis and shia come to terms. this is a split that is 1200 years old.

we used to buy pistachios from iraq, then iran...from where do we get them now?

that is why i apologized for sending the thread in that direction. but still, who is to say who is annoying. and while i know gg has reprimanded him, so has he be-bop. we don't want to lose his poetic voice do we? just because he got on a roll...

individuals compromise their integrity to do this administrations bidding? from journalists to judges they must know these folks are totally incompetent except in promoting their ideology. CDC director julie gerberding is the latest, after having huge pieces of her report on climate change deleted by the white house. her response? perfectly happy.

has no right to detain (actual) terrorists" but the bigger question isn't the detention but the lack of formal charges. this pertains to everyone, not just journalists. what the wingnuts fail to comprehend, in their shaking fear, is that these policies could easily be turned against them by an unsympathetic administration.

...but at the risk of being excoriated for defending garry owen's right to post, it troubles me that we seem to have a lot of "get them off the thread" posts regarding some of the more prolific posters. yeah, arne i know i said i wouldn't do this again as regards mr sugarman, but damn! censorship has innocent beginnings.
