  • it is about policy...

...of an ally that contradicts what we wish to stand for. abe foxman is not standing for jewish interests per se, but for israeli politics, likud style.

once you separate (ah yes, again) the religeon and the state, things become clearer. ole dishonest abe wants to start a war with a (non arabic!) state in (ahem) lock step with american and israeli neo cons...how many years has it been since iran used military agression against another state? 600 or so (no, shooter, iraq started that war).

my goodness, there is room for a jewish and a muslim state in palestine. i have friends both palestinian & israeli, living there with children wondering WTF is the best thing to do. for the record, my israeli friends pulled up stakes and moved to germany. my palestiniian friends remain, living in jerusulam and (trying) to work in israel.

my advice to both is, y'all been out in the sun too long...

there don't seem to be a lot of pot smokers posting this morning. that would have to be some" kick ass weed" to affect anyone's driving unless maybe you were smoking while driving and the ashes fell on your crotch and you started jumping around and hit a tree or a bus full of orphans.

sheesh...lighten up (or better yet, light up!)

  • i'm an independent voter

[Read the article: What FISA capitulations are Democrats planning next?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The goal is to have a Congress that does the right thing, not a "Democratic Congress" that doesn't.

but happen to think copecetic with most democrats; what i like about Glenn's post is the call not to march in lockstep with some of these bozos just 'cause they're dems but to find common ground and ideals and go after candidates that fit. heck, some of them might even be repubs...nah, never mind.

i agree. actually that "never mind" was a rather weak attempt at humor. i can go either way on a ton of issues, but do not want to be told which way is "right".

    wasn't sinatra a republican?

some folks really believe that starting wars based on lies is not only immoral but also illegal. while i wouldn't count hillary amoung them, i think what garry owen is refering to is if someone comes to power and believes this, these folks can be tried as war crimiinals.

too bad dubya is so incurious he'll never leave the country once he is done trashing it so chances of his getting pulled off a plane in europe are thin. but the rest of their complicit ilk may have to curb their travel plans.

    could happen.

involving hydrogen peroxide flat out can't be made on a plane. tough to make in a chem lab, but the time/temperature factor would make it vitually impossible on a plane. you have to spend 4-6 hours in the restroom, for concealment. just try that sometime!

this is all reactionary bullshit. i agree with the previous posters, if you absolutely don't have fly, don't.

one needs only to visit the nearest regional discount chain on a sunday morning (in michigan it's meijer's shifty acres). note the slack jaws and glassy eyes staring at piles of useless crap. these folks are actually enlightened, they refuse to shop at wal-mart. this is the demographic the msn and political "insiders" of the democratic party seriously do not want to offend...and most of them probably don't vote!

is the embodiment of jim harrison's description of an english wanker..."a product of 2000 years of inner breeding and bad diet". that this guy got elected in england does show we are not the only foolish electorate out there.
