  • Bush attempt to blame Democrats for believing bad intel

[Read the article: Bush is away, but Iraq attacks continue]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

While previous administrations may have received (and believed) that Saddam possessed WMD's, the larger point is they did not go to war over their intel. The Bush Administration's attempts to blame Clinton are laughable and an obviously desparate attempt to deflect criticism. Too bad the national mainstream media can't see this and identify it for what it really is.

  • They also blew it re: 9/11

[Read the article: Big Brother is watching you (and blowing it)]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The more these clowns in the Bush Administration react to the attacks on 9/11, the more I am convinced they completely blew the intel then and know it. Each reaction seems to be another smoke screen to deflect the fact that these attacks happened on their watch and could have been prevented with just a little competence. When will they be held accountable?

  • Heck of a job, Dubya

[Read the article: How do you like your democracy now, Mr. Bush?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Jimmy Carter couldn't fix the problems in the mid-east; why would anyone think a hopeless screw-up like George Bush could get it right?

  • Congress' self mutilation

[Read the article: "Senators in Need of a Spine"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It is absolutely amazing to watch Congress so willingly give up power to an inept administration. With the Alito confirmation all but a done deal, with a previous Court having handed an election to them, there seems to be no way Congress or the Court can investigate any of the mistakes this administration has made. A turning point in American History, for sure.

  • Ann Coulter in drag...

[Read the article: Alito's wife "molested" by Sen. Kennedy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...nice, but very scary thought. After watching Chrissy a few times I wonder why his show isn't called "softball"

  • President Pinocchio

    [Read the article: Cheney's coup]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When Republican operatives began directing money to W. way back in 1998, their intent was clear. Take this unremarkable Governor of Texas, prop him up with pro-business types like Cheney,Rummy & Wolfie and turn him loose to screw the average American. Once he began to lie, the Pinocchio similarities abound.

  • Small people, Long shadows....

[Read the article: A deluded king and his court lickspittles]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As the body count in Iraq mounts for both Iqaqis and U.S. soldiers, a look at the folks responsible is revealing. Cheney, Rumsfeld et al seem to be dedicated to the revival of Richard Nixon, indeed this is where they cut their political teeth. Condi Rice was an academic, specializing in Soviet Relations of all things. Sort of like a mechanic specializing in Stanley Steamers. Then you have the dupe himself. After seeing the tape of W. and Chertoff being briefed about Katrina, I was reminded of a recented Today Show appearance by W. & Laura in which he looked like a man who suddenly realizes he is in way over his head. Same blank look. George W. Bush may be a bigger War Criminal than even Henry Kissinger.

  • We are the Soviet Union

[Read the article: The I-word goes public]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Excuse me, but take a look around. One party rule, sham elections, government secrecy, invading sovereign nations. We are the fucking Soviet Union!

  • How Many Bush Supporters are brain dead?

[Read the article: Once more unto the breach]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'd say about 59,054,087 of them are brain dead...perhaps we should market jock straps as "Bush Supporters"?

  • Yes, he had a hammer

[Read the article: Once more unto the breach]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There was a picture published last fall of W. using a hammer, I think it was a Habitat for Humanity photo-op; he is holding it about half way up the shaft. Obviously the man doesn't even know how to properly use a hammer.

  • Enough Hand Wringing

[Read the article: Only the GOP can save us]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Okay folks, enough already with the gloom and doom. We the people need to hold our representatives accountable. Not the media, not the bloggers. Us period. Call your congressman, harrass your senator, make sure your precinct workers are up to speed. It's on us to chase the greedy thieves, the religeous panderers, the incompetent fools out of office. Just us.

  • But Give Me Free Tickets

[Read the article: One of Motown's "girls" gets political]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yeah, she is a different sort of politician. Not 2 months in office and she claims to desrve free tickets to the Super Bowl and other events. As they say, power corrupts...

  • Expect More of This

[Read the article: The latest images from Iraq are hard to stomach, too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This type of operation will become more common as "Iraqis stand up and U.S. forces stand down." Air strikes, with many of the targets dictated by Iraqis, will be our MO. Dead kids and women, shock and awe indeed. I've said it before, Bush is a war criminal, but the blood is on all our hands. I am disgusted with all of us...

  • 3rd Worst Ever?

[Read the article: Pierce Bush in 2024?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Pierce Bush is named after Barbara Bush's ancestor, Franlin Pierce, often cited as the worst President ever. Since W. no doubt will claim that title, young Pierce has a serious genetic leg up to top his uncle. Heaven help us all.

  • Impeach...then prosecute

[Read the article: The Feingold gambit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If the invasion of Iraq and the horrors then unleased on the Iraqi citizenry does not constitute War Crimes then we should just abondon the idea altogether. Screw "framing" this censure issue, take it to the next step and hold them accountable for every U.S. soldier, contractor and Iraqi citizen to perish in this illegal bloodbath. Just because they didn't "like" Saddam is no justification for the subsequent carnage.

  • What's he huffing now?

[Read the article: In Limbaugh's world, a rape victim is a "ho"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Sounds like Rush has been into the spray paint again. It would be nice if the so-called "ho" has a real good lawyer and sues his fat ass.

  • Why not focus on supply side?

[Read the article: "We're here. We're not going anywhere"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Jason makes a very good point as to where the real problem exists, with those exploiting illegals for their own gain. This is also why W. is pushing his guest worker plan, to continue to supply cheap labor to his business pals. No job, no reason to cross. So, it would obviously be more economically feasible to round up a couple hundred businessmen and fine the socks off them rather than jail thousands (millions) of illegals or to try and deport the same. Not to mention the shear joy of watching these pigs squirm...

  • What a novel idea...

[Read the article: ABC gives lessons in lacrosstitution]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That sex can actually be about fun & affection? My goodness, the trophy hunters may have to go back to the veldt. These poor kids have no idea of what they are missing by simply notching another "conquest".

  • Who are these 32%?

[Read the article: As Bush's poll numbers hit freezing, it's looking a lot like Snow]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How in the world can even 32% of our citizenry approve of this clown? Fox blowhard hiring or not, 32% approve? Is anyone trying to sell these fools ocean front property in Iowa?

  • Respect??

[Read the article: A Democrat knocks Colbert, says Bush "deserves some respect"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The people who deserve some respect are fighting in Iraq, fighting for a lie. Sheesh, no wonder the Democrats can't win anything...

  • Merle always says it best

[Read the article: Sex, drugs and a federal government small enough to drown in a bathtub]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]
