I couldn't agree more with the sentiment that we need to get rid of Democrats who won't stand up for Democratic party principles and ideals. Some of these folks are indistinguishable from Republicans. What's the point in electing Hillary? She's as bloodthirsty as pretty much any Republican, and more bloodthirsty than Ron Paul. Ralph Nader has been saying this for many years, and all he has received is ridicule. I am glad that there is finally some grassroots Democrats working towards trying to show these dingleberries that they are accountable for their shameful behavior.
The rationalization that women have abortions because they want to love their future children sufficiently is one of the more disturbing justifications for such behavior. The killing of offspring when it is perceived that there are not enough resources to properly raise those offspring is a maternal behavior that is seen in all or most primates and most mammals. We just happen to be unique in being able to rationalize these behaviors to each other, and because we're clever enough to kill our offspring before they're born. The idea that the motivations behind abortions are in fact noble ones, which this articles is implying, is grimace-inducing to say the least. And in a world where we gots Dubyas and Cheneys spouting painful nonsense daily, it's quite hard to get your nonsense to stand out. But you've done it. Congratulations.
"If Hamas was smart, they would try a Hong Kong or Singapore free market strategy and be rich within a generation."
Now here's a person that lives in another solar system.
I'm surprised by the negativity of the reactions. Yeah, it's gross, whoopty-doo. But in any art program, there are hundreds of students or more. How disconnected are people from reality that they can't see that there's always going to be a few crazies? I had a few art student roommates in college, so I would hear about the choicest final projects, and I've got a couple of favs I still remember. One guy took black and white stills of himself masturbating. And that was his entire project. Another impaled paper mache heads on stakes covered with rotting meat on top of an abandoned railroad trestle outside the art school. Personally, I thought the latter was hilarious, but probably of questionable artistic value. Artists are and should be allowed to do as they please without all this silly huffing and puffing. With the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of art exhibitions being created in a free society each year, why is it appalling and/or surprising that there's going to be a few that are gross, ridiculous, or "go too far," whatever that means? I especially like the pro-choice posters who are appalled. What she did is perfectly legal if you're pro-choice; after all, "it's her body." So why the revulsion, she's just exercising her right to control her own body, and if she wants to use it for artistic purposes, why shouldn't you support that? If you're going to be pro-abortion, then you should be able to deal with the consequences of your position, which the above actually illustrates quite well. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I say she's done something more interesting than people are willing to acknowledge. After all, there aren't many people who could create a project, no matter how hard they tried, that gets nationwide attention. Finally, I would say that pretty much everything non-controversial has been done already as far as artistic expression is concerned. The only territory left that hasn't been explored to a mind-numbing extent is that which is controversial: for example, homosexuality, anti-religious themes, and, apparently abortion. I say kudos to this girl, even if she'll never amount to anything. Neither, I suspect, will most of you.
Iran hasn't attacked another country for HUNDREDS OF YEARS. The US and Israel have attacked more nations than you can count on your hands in just the last century. Who's the warmonger?
You should let the psychiatrist know about this. Most anti-depressants have sexual side effects, and that may be at least part of the issue here. You might also mention wellbutrin, which is a highly effective antidepressant in most people that has no sexual side effects.
Outrageous comment of the month:
"A bad credit history is more dangerous than herpes"
Yikes.
Since the campaign is in large part about his corrupt actions in supporting his campaign contributors and enabling their illegal actions, this Comcast incident should be retroactively added as a facet of the campaign and an example of the corruption he represents. Carney cares nothing for the law, and corporations donate to him because they know he will protect them no matter the legality of his actions. Comcast, one of his corrupt donors, is now protecting him, a perfect illustration of the corruption the ads are intended to bring to people's attention. Why not make this incident part of the ads campaign in the newspapers and on radio? Embarass Carney further, and embarass Comcast while you're at it.
