Zbig (aka Butthead's twin brother)

was just on Rachel Maddow and says he thinks that Obama is quite serious about holding Israel to the law. Rachel was stunned that Obama said we were responsible for the '53 overthrow of the Iranian government. She said he made many points that U.S. Presidents have never uttered in public before. They were mighty impressed.

bystander, if you come up with a list, I can certainly create a poll.

Oh, poo.

I was looking forward to seeing if Beagle of Doom won the day. Well, back to my serious project of matching animals' faces with politicians'faces.

Maybe he thinks it would make more sense if we all were reading Michelle Malkin's blog. Pffft.

Friday, June 5, 2009 12:54 AM

right on, rrheard

I am an apatheist myself, so I completely agree with you. I may have mentioned before, that whenever Bill Maher, a fellow apatheist, talks about his views (which resemble yours), I have noticed that his detractors never address the substance of his arguments, e.g., religion should not determine public policy; instead, they claim that he is persecuting them, or that he has a personal problem with religion and is a bigot and should shut up, etc. It is aggravating as, er, hell.

Terry

This is the definition of apatheist:

An apatheist is someone who is not interested in accepting or denying any claims that gods exist or do not exist. In other words, an apatheist is someone who considers the question of the existence of gods as neither meaningful nor relevant to his or her life; nor to human affairs.

There is simply nothing contradictory about it.

Also, Bill Maher has referred to himself as an apatheist numerous times.

The Congress Critters need some chiropractic care by us citizens to help speed up the process of spinus regeneratus. Let the emails, phone calls, and letters begin!

Like ondelette, I am hammering on the L-G act

when I call. No one so far has been able to tell me how the rep. is going to vote.

Btw, someone mentioned earlier that Obama has hired a lot of right wingers to important positions. I can't find the article, but I remember reading that he also hired a wingnut anti-abortion crumbum to run the faith-based initiative thing.

The very existence of which makes me burn with rage.

Thanks, Little Brother

That person sounds like a big sneak to me.

Detainee Cultural Enrichment Act of 2009

Good one!

The first line.

In today's New York Times, William Glaberson describes a proposal being circulated by the Obama administration to enable Guantanamo detainees to be put to death upon a mere guilty plea, i.e., without the need for a full-blown trial.

That was so sickening to read. It makes Obama's recent speech at Cairo, where he insisted that the U.S., despite some mistakes in the past, was now turning the corner into a new era of human rights, openness, and global multiculturalism, that much more of a lie.

And he had the gall to get angry at the human rights and groups and civil libertarians who in a private meeting told him he was carrying on the policies of the Bush administration.

Utterly loathsome.

I think you are right, that the more likely danger is from within, the result of a poorly educated citizenry that turns its anger on the wrong source, incendiary public discourse from the likes of the Limbaughs and the Michelle Bachmanns, profound racism and xenophobia, and a mindset, like the one we have seen recently with the anti-abortion zealots, that violence is the primary means of solving disagreements.

One of the lesser known founding fathers, Zartram the Merciless, was aware it would come to this. Link at sig.

LondonLad: to glaber

That is a verb worthy of Orwell's "Politics and the English language."

Maybe some nouns will develop from it:

The wingnut pundits engaged in their usual glabfest....

Glabfly politician Harry Reid pulled that out of his ass....

...Even the NYT said it's legal! Moreover, not only did he ensure what was done was appropriate, he saved millions of lives simultaneously. Why hasn't the current administration already bestowed him the Medal of Freedom? He certainly deserves it.” [cue Joe, Mika, Andrea, and Pat cheering and clapping.].

In a weird way, I am looking forward to seeing what Cheney comes up with. The NYT really did give that dickhead an out. When Cheney and Coulter and people of that ilk aren't saying the NYT should be blown up or calling them liberal traitors, they actually find the paper useful. And to add insult to injury, the dickhead's approval ratings have been going up!

Thanks, NYT! Thanks for speaking truth to power!

The main reason kids like him join up is the constant homage to the military that we can't seem to shake even we are being critical of US militarism.

Thanks for this. You are a breath of fresh air.

What is it about University cops?

Tiny penises.

Monday, June 8, 2009 06:04 PM

Titonwan

I just saw that on Glenn's twitter. I wonder if Leiberman will carry out his vow to attach that piece of shit to every bill that comes along. Grrrr.

Glad to give you a laugh, btw!

heru-ur, our local chapter of Size Does Matter has a hidden camera in the campus police locker room. I have extrapolated my data based on their findings.

The second panel is my favorite.

Because, you know, women spontaneously erupt into pregnancy after having dirty thoughts. All alone. Nobody else has anything to do with it.

ersatzdavid, heru-ur

Glock is a campus policeman, btw.

He real motive is to have complete control over women (which is actually typical of the people he speaks for). That way they will be afraid to tell his little secret.

Pay no attention to the virulent ant-abortion fellow

He has a tiny penis and therefore takes his rage out by trying to control women's bodies.

And of course, he names himself after a gun. What a giveaway.
