Even though we're on the same team, I fear I may have to add you to my DO NOT READ list.

See, for all your whooping and hollering about how much damage is being done to Obama by Clinton, you are doing much the same thing. You are damaging the party by alienating those HONEST Clinton supporters who might be hanging around here looking for a meaningful discussion and trying to find a way to get over their disappointment and support the person who looks as if he will be the next nominee.

See, whether you like it or not, the november race will be strongest with both Obama's loyalists and Hillary's loyalists. We'll lose SOME of Hillary's folks once Obama becomes the nominee but (like Obama) it is our job to work hard to bring them over to our side so we can defeat the republicans in November.

IF we cannot successfully do that, we run the risk of losing.

Its important to you isn't it, that we win in November?

Obama is not attacking Clinton. He is praising her at every turn. (see the interview on CNN Wolf Blitzer and the NBC interview with Brian Williams, Also visit his website for campaign trail talk). NOR has HE declared himself the winner no matter WHAT the pundits, bloggers and news media are saying.

SO let's be gracious. I know you don't want to but think of the BIG PICTURE. We will need to reconcile our party into one formidable fighting force and the best way to do that is to be dignified and gracious. BTW It makes no difference if someone is being gracious to us. We're supposed to be about change in this country, right?

Please be your BEST you. I don;t want to have to add you to teh DO NOT READ list.

PS some people on here SAY they are Clinton supporters. They are NOT. They are republican trolls sent to try to cause Hillary and Obama people to scream at each other. WHY? Because its the ONLY way they will win in November.

    XO

I feel i can contribute to this conversation i a meaningful way.

Listen, I respect your support of Hillary. I am an Obama supporter. That measn we BOTH agree that healthcare is important, we agree the war must be ended, we think green energy jobs would be a good way to bring work back to those who have lost jobs to overseas, we both think our children should get a fantatsic education.

That's what we have in common.

    Imagine that.

McCain's ideas are WAY different. And if you choose to vote for him, you can.

Here's something to consider: yes there are some people who may not be comfortable with a black man as president and a black woman as first lady. That IMO doe NOT make them racist. It means we all have our own experiences in life which shape our viewpoints.

I am 40 years old. Just 40 years ago, if i had been older I would have been using special bathrooms and water fountains. AMAZING. But I know you know that. SO YES we have a long way to go.

I'll also tell you that in college (at the age of 17) was the first time ever experienced racism. My first roommate was from Johnstown PA and never saw a real black person in her life. I couldn't believe it. I was from Maryland and want to private schools with a mix. It was never a problem. It hurt me so deeply that for two years I was a raging racist. Seriously.

But I evolved. and it was mostly because i realized that all my anger wasn't improving anything. Today my husband in white and I am normal.

I say this to say that I DO understand your feeling that some people will not be comfortable with Obama or Michelle. Its part of our unfortunate legacy in America. But one that we should challenge. Just because people aren't comfortable with it does not mean we should avoid the issue.

So my question to you is this: is it that you are afraid that too many people are uncomfortable with the race issue for him to win or is it that you personally are too uncomfortable to vote for him? this is not a trick question and it could be both. And I don't label you for it, I'm just curious.

I do not respond to shawnwm, KateTex or any of the other people who i feel are not reasonable people (and I don't have to agree with a person for me to consider them reasonable).

As matter of fact, I don't even read their letters so it would be impossible for me to respond.!

I have never attacked Clinton or her supporters and I challenge you to find a single letter in my history that does. You won't

See I don't have a pseudonym that doesn't feel like my own real name so i tend NOT to speak to people online in a way i wouldn't speak to them in person. You never know who might recognize me.

The "line" you've crossed is civility. Please be civil. I know you hate Hillary and all her tactics but at this point we need to get the big picture. Don't you get it?
