[Read the article: What should Hillary Clinton do now?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So Obama is a risk. So what? Hillary isn't?
Listen, I am perfectly prepared and willing to take that risk. I am in agreement with what he states as his platform and have confidence in his ability to be an exceptional leader. (you can disagree that's fine - this is america)
But if we run this race and he loses, well... he loses. We could no more predict a Hillary win either. If the people vote for McCain over Obama, then McCain wins and that's where we would be.
I happen to think that would be an awful place but we are always taking risks. I have to take the chance on someone who most closely reflect my own ideas about what I think we need in this country and in the world.
So what?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]RYR 5: What if Hillary had conceded last week, and was campaigning like the political dervish she is for him right now in West Virginia? If he ended up doing well there, she would have been able to take the credit. If he did miserably, even with her campaigning for him, she'd have a much stronger argument to make to the super-dels about his being damaged goods and her being a reborn team player
Nice point. I never thought of it. Thanks!
Don't think Hillary ever did either.
And regarding the question of letting her supporter feel like she fought the good fight, I guess you make a good point. Except I do think that some of the more reliable supporters would begin to shift over (not the loony ones) once the supers weighed in. We can already see it a little bit, she's not racking in campaign donations anymore.
Who knows. I'm sad for her and angry and disgusted, slightly embarrassed (as a woman).
I told my husband her behavior is like a teenager when your first boyfriend breaks up with you... you cry and whine and play tricks and act desperately ... its years removed before your realize how undignified you behaved.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Say what you mean and mean what you say. If its a lie don't say it. If its his surrogates say it. If its HIM say it.
YOU shut up and take your lies with you.
BTW i knew you couldn't.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]respect is given where respect is deserved. Most posters who i don't respect i don't bother reading their posts. I am happy to read posts of people I disagree with but still respect.
KStone posted something. I responded respectfully, she responded disrespectfully. My option were clear. Now I can ignore his/her posts from now on.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]thanks for the advice sugar ;x
I have a list of IGNORES and KStone is now on it.
I am very picky about who I engage and more picky about who's posts i even bother to read.
I like reading your posts...
it's sort of like continuing life support after the body's already cold
and thanks for the laugh. I know you're right. On any other day I may not be trusted to be as reasonable in my opinion on Hillary - i has a yummy slice of chocolate cake today! I am NO fan of hers and its so sad to see it played out like this. Ultimately I have tremendous faith in Obama's ability to reach and inspire people with reason. i think, (ironically) his gift of doing this, so often derided by his detractors, may be the only hope for democratic unity in the fall.

@Heal - Clinton as VP
[Read the article: What should Hillary Clinton do now?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thanks for your insightful reply. Its letters like yours that remind me why i keep coming back here.
Ultimately you're probably right and I'm probably dreaming. And the truth is, as the days go on and Hillary keeps changing the rules and (IMO) disgracing herself unnecessarily, i am less and less in favor of even that matchup.
I've gotten to the point now where I hope Obama chooses a very good running mate and runs a terrific general election campaign. Og course I hope he wins but I'm prepared in case he doesn't. But i almost feel now as if i have to stand for something. One thing that is more and more apparent as this race goes forward is that she lacks some of the very qualities I would want in a president and that GW lacks for glaringly (respect for the rule of law, calmness, dignity, focus, fiscal responsibility, wisdom, strong management skills, limits to loyalty to *employees* who don't perform well, willingness to compromise and the list goes on). I think if we had nothing else BUT this campaign to examine her credentials to manage the USA, well, she would fall woefully short.
