In fairness...
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Both camps have engaged in some degree of politicking. I don't think Hillary's camp is the only one. But so what? Its politics! Up until a couple weeks ago when the issue of FL and MI came up I thought it had been a fairly tame, congenial primary season.
At least at that time they were spewing lies and spin about the others' POLICY. But not now.
Now, it seems as if the Clinton camp has become more active in this vein of late.
But as an example, take the whole FL and MI isues.
We all understand why she wanted the Florida votes to count AS IS with out a campaign in the state and a re-vote. Because the margins would have been much closer than indicated by the vote counts that were actually taken. We understand that.
Similarly, Obama would prefer not to have a primary in MI. Why? He does better in caucuses and would be hurt by an unfavorable primary result. Why risk it? We get it.
Both sides are protecting their best interests. I get it. But the spin on it has been weird. To suggest Obama wants to disenfranchise voters doesn't make sense. We are all intelligent enough to understand the real issues. In the end, we will end up doing it by the rules that everyone agreed to in the beginning. (bad rule)
I'm weary of people who can only see ONE SIDE - their own candidate's side - whether it be pro-Hillary or pro-Obama. They are both running for the nomination and they are both being tactical. SO WHAT?
But lately it seems most of the tactics are coming from Clinton's camp. (maybe we'll see a more 'tactics' from Obama's camp after Obama has cooled the Wright fire a bit who knows) but for now....well...the spin has just gone to shit. Irrelevant shit like white house papers and records and passports and tax returns and wright and disenfranchisement and challenges to the other team to do this or that...
ARRGGH! I couldnt care less about ANY of it.
ISSUES PLEASE! (but I guess there isn't enough of a difference between them on issues, so what else is there to fuss about? We'll make something up!)
god help us.

For the record
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think Obama and Clinton need to do the same thing McCain did...ask his supporters to stop with the crap.
The truth is that much of what is 'going around', much of what Mark Penn claims comes from the Obama campaign is NOT coming from the Obama campaign. It comes from REALLY ARDENT supporters. It's Obama's supporters who got that picture of Clinton with Wright and circulated it. Can't control that.
Similarly, Clinton's supporters are equally ardent and will circulate things that make Obama look bad. I'm not sure it comes directly from the Clinton campaign.
BUT THEN, we see this memo. And it IS from the Clinton campaign. Scary.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Newsflash for you:
Hillary has never participated in an election where she was subject to Electoral College votes.
Neither has Obama or McCain for that matter.
That would be a run for the Presidency.
If you are arguing her electability (her POTENTIAL to receive more electoral votes in the general election than McCain, thereby securing the presidency), that's a different discussion.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now now...come on.
I know its hard. I'm not crazy about Clinton either. And the further along this goes, the worse she looks.
BUT consider the alternative...McCain.
Or rather consider his policies. He, himself is probably a decent guy.
Vote DEM in November. We REALLY need a fresh start in USA. Obama IMO is the best option for that but McCain is the worst option for that.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]amen.
I'm one of those INDIE in Florida who would have switched to vote democratic.
BUT please don;t delude yourself. We DID BITCH about the primary date change. We DID raise hell. It was a dog fight. But what happens when the legislature AND the governor are republican?
Please tell me how we could have overcome that with any measure of bitching?
The DNC tried to use a trump card of not counting the votes to try to force the hands of the legislature but it backfired.
Honestly I'm not sure what we could have done with the structure the way it is here.
AND when you take into account that our GOVERNOR Charlie Crist's name has been batted around as a GOP VP since he was elected governor...that pretty much explains it.
