re: "I’m not a fascist just someone who cares about the meaning of words, especially when it comes to our actual Constitutional rights."

BWAHAHAHA!

You're a sheep. Say "Baaaah" for us, will ya?

re: "You have no right to free expression on Salon. Do you get that?"

Jawohl, mein Führer!

re: "It is a far cry from censorship."

Oh, I see. I have no right to free expression, but that's not censorship.

What, exactly, do you call the supression of free expression, hmmm?

re: "Is that really a fight worth taking up?"

On a website that ostensibly portrays itself as progressive, you bet. I would expect such nonsense from Fox News, but not here. Unless they're actually closet fascists.

P.S.

FYI, I used the exact same phrase that was censored in another post, right here:

Plenty more where that came from.

Have a nice day, Kitten.

re: "For those of you who insist on writing hateful tirades regarding Senator Clinton your comments are not worth reading."

Justify her vote authorizing Dubya to commit mass murder in Iraq.

Justify her knee-jerk support for Israel and their horrible oppression of the Palestinian people.

Go ahead, make my day.

re: "this is a private publication- they have the right to delete what they want"

Do you wear jackboots? This is AMERICA, baby. Are you really so willing to have your speech censored?

Now tell me EXACTLY why the "B" word when used in conjunction with Hillary (and I've posted links on Salon where it's been used before by myself and others) is suddenly worthy of deletion/censorship.

re: "sorry our school system failed you"

Is this the best you've got? Really?

re: "You sir have a depraved screen name"

As Bogart said to Walter Huston in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, "What a dirty filthy mind you've got!"

Original article: The other 18 million

That any of Hillary's supporters would think of voting for McCain...

... shows just how right-wing Clinton really is.

re: "the Goldwater girl turned '60s liberal"

turned NEOCON.

re: "You deliberately misunderstand the point I was trying to make."

Gee, it couldn't be that your point was inane, could it?

re: "Salon reserves the right..."

ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

BTW, you've failed (again) to address the fact that I pointed you to several posts -- including two of my own -- wherein Salon had no problema whatsoever with the use of the "B" word in reference to Hillary. That it suddenly became worthy of deletion smacks of someone's petty reaction to Clinton losing -- nothing else.

GWB = WMD

Perhaps of equal infamy will be the Congress that facilitated his criminality; the Democratic leadership that put impeachment "off the table"; and the mass media that acted as his mouthpiece.

My guess is...

Bill Richardson.

Whatever Obama loses in terms of disgruntled Hillary voters can be more than offset by capturing the Hispanic vote.

Tax the Rich!

Until it hurts, baby!

It isn't only McCain who's "alarmist"

It's also the so-called "liberal media".

In its Sunday, June 15, 2008 edition, The New York Times published this article by David E. Sanger:

Nuclear Ring Reportedly Had Advanced Design

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/15/world/asia/15nuke.html

Wherein we read blatant propaganda maquerading as journalism about "an advanced nuclear weapon" -- which, as far as any objective evidence is concerned, does not even exist -- that "could" be carried by the "Iranian Shahab III" missile. Of course, "American intelligence officials...had been unable to determine whether Iran...had obtained the weapons design."

I wrote to the Times and chastised them for publishing such dangerous hyperbole and observed:

"This is the same type of baseless conjecture that got us embroiled in the fiasco in Iraq. I expect that we'll soon see Dick Cheney on the network news shows quoting the Times article about the nuclear danger posed by Iranian missiles."

It's déjà vu all over again, with The New York Times leading the way to war and the rest of the MSM sheepishly doing the bidding of the neocons and AIPAC.

Original article: Where the 20-somethings are

"For some reason, the networks just aren't scripting shows about us"

Not to worry.

H.G. Wells wrote all about you in The Time Machine.

Fantasy Island

"So when gas passes $5 and heads for $8 and $10, we will learn to sit in dim light with our loved ones and talk about hunting and fishing adventures..."

Long before this fantasy ever happens, the rich will have started WWIII in a futile attempt to maintain the status quo as the cheap oil-based society that has enriched them collapses. The suffering masses will degenerate into maurading hordes looking to stick their heads on pikes. Survival at any cost will be the name of the game. This isn't the 1930's. 21st century post-industrial society is entirely based upon cheap energy, cheap labor and JIT delivery systems for everything from a loaf of bread to a roll of toilet paper. Once that flow stops everything goes kaput. Almost no one lives on a farm anymore, where they might be able to sustain themselves from what they can grow on their own little patch of earth. When the supermarket shelves go empty because truckers can no longer afford to haul goods to it, it's instant starvation time for millions.

It ain't gonna be pretty.
