My Points....

...are that science is not all that matters in the exploration of the world of the individual.

But science is the most reliable means for communicating what can be communicated about the phenomenal world.

Religion is not the best method for reliably communicating what can be known about anything. In fact, we don't really have one of those. Spirituality tries, religion codifies the attempt, and then the authoritarians come in and take over the religion and rewrite it in the image and likeness of themselves.

The Bible and the Torah were valiant attempts at understanding the nature of God/Truth and our purpose for being alive. The original Torah ended with the Book of Job, a story where God teaches Job what Arjuna taught Krishna eons before: when you're no longer delusional in your thinking, you can forget all that has been, or will be, said about any and all attempts to understand the nature of God/Truth and your purpose for being alive.

Jesus of Nazareth caught that point and tried to communicate it to a religious community populated by authoritarians made sick with the wealth of the occupying army. "Love one another," is what it all boils down to, he said. The occupying army and those made wealthy by that army promptly strung Jesus up for bird food.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy attempted to explain to the Federal Reserve system that, "we don't need your stinkin' money," and they promptly blew his brains out of his skull in broad daylight, in front of his own wife and in front of women and children.

Now we have a schmuck from Puerto Rico who claims to be the Second Coming of Jesus in the flesh. He politely takes people's cash and then proceeds to knock their spiritual legs out from under them. And like children they thank him for saving them from a life of standing on their own two feet in the scary grown-up world.

Perfect. The schmucks are in charge. That would take alot of the pressure off of the non-schmucks, except that there have always been more schmucks than non-schmucks in any human endeavor. Which is why we flock to the authoritarians in the first place.

It appears human judgement, as predicted in the Bible, is the key problem.
