Let's bust a move and break out the dictionary, shall we?

We fundamentally disagree on the structure of the universe. I'd lay odds that we don't even agree on the fundamental structure of water, one of the primary constituents of the human body.

So how off do you think we might be when we start discussing the dynamics of something as complex as human interaction?

The words don't mean the same things to you and me. It's in the nature of the miraculous that I am even able to communicate this much through your addled thought processes.

Or, perhaps it could be that I am seeing your world view from a higher perspective that you can. I can fly into and out of your paradigm without you being able to grasp what the hell it is that I am doing, or why.

What is relevant to you from your perspective is not nearly as relevant to me. I see more of the landscape than you do.

Your mistake is that you draw conclusions prematurely about people, places and things. You firmly believe that all that you can see from your perspective is all that there is, and most of that is irrelevant.

Of course most of what you see seems irrelevant to where the focus of your attention lands. If all I saw was all that you see, I might even agree with your conclusions. Nothing appears to be connected to anything else in your world view.

But I fundamentally disagree with the premise on which your thinking is based...and biased. Everything IS connected to everything else, whether my perception renders that information to my brain, or not.

Why bother believing in the existence, or even the possibility, of capital "T" truth, if you can not even for an instant release yourself from the cage that is your interpretation of your perceptions -- and take what you find seriously?

Your fundamental beliefs about the universe drive everything you see AND how you see it.

Believe in truth but think you do not share the fate you assign to Eric Schaeffer? You are fundamentally dishonest since you claim to believe in unitary truth, yet you do not allow that truth to percolate up through your interpretation of your perceptions.

And so it is with all the children of the God of wholeness. Everybody lies, everyone is dishonest, but a few do comprehend the consequences of fundamental dishonesty.

Whereever two or more gather together to agree to be dishonest, there trouble will be. Not at first, of course. But you can't violate the truth from which you draw all your creative power and not, eventually, recognize that you have been eating your own tail.

The bigger the lie, the faster the self-consumption takes place.

Community -- communion -- is what makes us happiest because that is what we are. The more we feel what we are, the more whole we feel and the happier we become.

Break with your happiness and you become afraid...because unhappiness is not what you are for...you have begun to eat your own tail and, yup, it hurts.

Why have your bothered to read this far if not for confirmation that this is what you already know is truth for you as well? What a waste of time it is to read as if to know, only to deny yourself the joy of connection and communion!

Ahem.

Eric Schaeffer -- indeed, anyone -- holds the keys to your happiness or to your wish to continue to betray yourself. Deny your wholeness and it will seem to be so for a time. For your whole human experience, if you so desire.

So we fundamentally disagree about Eric Schaeffer and, indeed, about the entire structure of the universe.

I love Eric Schaeffer because I see what is good about him and his work. I enjoy the hell right out of it.

Only someone who has been to hell and doesn't wish to return can know how important it is to squeeze hell out of what really matters.

What really matters is my own happiness and my own joy. Forget about the rest of it -- you will, anyway, because it comes as a result of fundamental dishonesty and self-betrayal.

So often I felt betrayed by others until I recognized that the betrayal began within myself, first.

See what you can connect with in your enemies and you will be richly blessed. That is where fundamental truth exists.
