Original article: What we lost

It Ain't About Being A Liberal

It's about being a conservative. A real conservative. One who abhors this administration's use of convicted felons in key policy positions. One who abhors what has happened to the party of Barry Goldwater. One who abhors G. Gordon Liddy and everything he claims to stand for -- this week and probably the next.

Real conservatives listen to both sides of all issues and agree to allow the democracy that our founding fathers crafted to do the work it was designed to do. Real conservatives do not divide the country against itself by designing wedge issues that take the place of real policy issues.

Real conservatives vomit up the likes of Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and Karl Rove. Real conservatives like Marine General Smedley Butler repudiate all manifestations of fascism in all its forms.

No real conservative flinches at the likes of a mongriel horde threatening to break down our doors. Real conservatives, like Abraham Lincoln, know that the only mongriel horde we need ever be concerned with is the one which operates within our own borders.

The towers were downed through the complicity and duplicity of the Bush Crime Family and their cohorts. The evidence is there now. What I sensed on 9/11 five years ago has found a voice and it will shatter the false patriotic front of the present administration.

Only then will the victims of 9/11, their families and the people of New York receive the peace and reconciliation that they deserve.

Original article: The elephant in the room

Footprints In the Butter

What has been consistently under reported and blatantly ignored by the media is the use by the national security apparatus of sexual blackmail in the manipulation of government and business leaders throughout the world.

Mark Foley is addicted to child rape, not alcohol, but his sins pale in comparison to those of the present administration, Congress and the Supreme Court.

Far more threatening to our way of life, our freedom and our government is not the mental infirmities of a member of Congress but the just passed legislation which now makes it legal for the Bush regime to jail anyone -- citizen or not -- indefinitely without effective recourse.

Conservatives beware: once they've jailed all the progressives and thrown away the key, these people will come after you, your families, your assets and your businesses.

This administration has been all about corporate control of our very lives from its inception.

Welcome to the Banana Republic, just like the ones we've been testing and installing elsewhere in the world for a hundred years.

Original article: Dude, where's my cross?

Does Anyone Notice...

...how it's always, "someone else," who's the Antichrist, even though this little feller is supposed to be fruit from the same tree we fell from?

The antichrist is the human ego, nothing more than that. A loving God doesn't turn hope and happiness into a god-damned puzzle -- He would make it so simple even a child could comprehend it.

By that yardstick, every fundamentalist of every stripe should be walking in fear of -- yep, you guessed it -- themselves!

The meaning of "666," as opposed to, "777," is simply the numerical definition of a person who refuses to let God take the last step in deciding where and when the fruits of their actions come into being. It is the principle behind the, "sabbath," and keeping it holy, that one invites a God of their own understanding into their lives as a method for inviting the whole community of life into any decision to manifest something into fruition.

This "god" doesn't have to be a theistic or pretentiously religious entity, either. Every atheist realizes that there are community rules we all must live by if we are to live together fruitfully and in peace.

George W. Bush is a quintessential example of a person who refuses to allow faith in a loving God deter him from accomplishing whatever he believes his goals are.

George H. W. Bush sees the overthrow of the GOP as anathema because we would all come to see just how diabolical, and central, to the whole New World Order scheme their family has been -- from the scapegoating of the Jews during the Third Reich to the present day scapegoating of the poor, the Bush Family has lead the charge for the rest of the wealthy elites.

It's one thing to have to make tough decisions about who lives and who dies in a world where population growth runs amok. It's another to actually enjoy doing so. And an order of magnitude darker to turn a profit from the whole enterprise.
