  • Rove should go, and take about a gross of others with him

[Read the article: Now some conservatives ask: Is it time for Rove to go?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Politics aside, why there isn't a cry to purge this White House of the likes of Rove baffles me. Winning and partly loyalty have become more important than democracy, fairness and legality. The only standard Conservatives now seem to have is we won its just sour grapes .. go to hell. Its sad that the principles that once guided this nation have succumbed to the hubris of power. This is clearly evidenced in Congress where protecting the power of the majority and the president has led to failed oversight and no answers for the American public in why their government has failed them. WMD, FEMA, 911, Torture, Cheneys oil cabal, Halliburton profiteering and overcharging Christ, Im tired of typing. Amazing how an investigative hungry body during Clinton can sit on its hands while its own president destroys a diverse nation and makes it a personal playground for himself and his cronies.

  • Let Fitz use 'em

[Read the article: A gulag for the CIA?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Patrick Fitzgerald should test out the worst of the torture methods on White House personnel to finish up his leak investigation to find out if Rove, Bush and Cheney knew and approved of the treason. It the methods are proven to work I'm more prone to support them and these hidden gulags following Fitzgerald's success at putting these enemies of democracy behind bars in one of them.

  • News Organizations are Fools

[Read the article: In Argentina, the president takes questions but doesn't answer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It's what this administration has excelled in since it slithered it's way into Washington D.C. Not sure why this is unexpected or news. When the media allows you to spit out a talking point to any question they ask and not challenge the robot answering it becomes comfortable behavior. They know this administration will not answer questions so why do they ask. They ought to just sit there silently during these charades and do a little investigative journalism outside of the administrations sanctum and write some stories that will do the American people a useful service and inform them with some facts.

  • See-no-evil boss

[Read the article: Bush and Bremer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I've always wondered why the "changed everything" line hasn't been treated as surrender. The democrats should be making the point that they are willing to learn from mistakes and fix what is broken but that they will never surrender and allow the ceding of rights from our constitution to those that attacked us on 9-11. Allowing the republicans and Bush to stonewall and abort a truly reflective look at where we went wrong will be a mistake we live to regret.

That all this has happened and continues to seems to me to be a victory for them if they have caused us to turn our backs on the principles of democracy to "feel more secure". Allowing Bush to continue to centralize more power and take credit for the supposed lack of attacks is insane. I never hear the point of the patience of the enemy -- 1993 til 2001. We're fools to believe that the Bush way will keep us safer in the long run.

  • "Hunter's judgment"

[Read the article: Game warden: "Hunter's judgment" at fault in Cheney shooting]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

For an administration that likes things so "black and white", this is a little puzzling. A "hunter" swings around and discharges a weapon outside of his range of vision -- no sure what is no in that line of sight that he has turned away from -- would appear to be clearly at fault. It would seem, logically, that if one is to pull a trigger then one must be certain of where that shot will be going. Oh, sorry. I forgot we're talking about the Bush administration where logic, careful thought, facts and accountability are myths of the past.

  • -- unbelieving

[Read the article: More acquaintances accuse George Allen]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    [[[Oh My God...

How fucking desperate are the Democrats? Is this it? This is pathetic! With all the issues at your disposal, can't you fuckers come up with something better? What's next? A major expose on how Newt Gingrich jerked off in college? Get real losers...

    -- unbelieving

    PermalinkTuesday, September 26, 2006 2:46:47 PM]]]

Other words George Allen, George W. Bush, et al have never uttered.

I'm ... "sorry", "accountable", "was wrong then and regret it now", " a patehtic loser who would not have attained this station in life if not for my father", "was stupid back then, were'nt a lot of us.

Dear -- unbelieving, if Allen's actions don't say something to you about accountability, honesty, truthfulness and moral character then I doubt there's much hope for you or this country if there are to many of you holding the same viewpoint.

  • The Children Just Hate it ....

[Read the article: On Baker, the White House gets a little snippy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

when the grown-ups are in the room.

  • He's talking to an Image Consultant

[Read the article: He's sorry now]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

[So why the delayed epiphany from Imus?]

Why? Because until in bubbled up he felt no need to consult a PR handler to do damage control and manage his "crisis". Anybody who buys this as sincere is a fool. The history is there and the history repeats itself. Only sadder part about it is that a market exists in America that responds to these childish ass wipes that play to the lowest common denominator of our society who find it entertaining. Course that's only when someone else is the target -- when it's them thier "relax it's funny, everybody needs to calm down" mentality goes out for lunch.

  • Bush in a Reaganesque delusion

[Read the article: Tenet: Bush, Cheney went to war with no "serious debate"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

was heard to utter: Mr. Tenet... tear off the the Medal of Freedom

  • Sorry you had to spend the Day in Bagdad

[Read the article: Quotes of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

DICK. You shouldn't have used up all of your deferments the last time.

  • Well let's give credit where credit is due

[Read the article: The impertinent prince]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

At least he seems to have learned form past mistakes -- I haven't seen any reports where he gave her a backrub.

  • by coming clean...

[Read the article: About that pardon ...]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

By what? Telling the truth and caring more about the United States and less about protecting one self? That would take a true patriot and not "Scooter" Libby or anyone in this administration could ever be confused with that.

  • I won't criticize

[Read the article: Sen. Reid's crime]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

the Commander-in-Chief, his VP and the rest of his administration and hand picked lackeys who are carrying out this war if they form a circular firing squad and he issues the command to fire. It is his right and he is the decider. I support him 1000 percent. In fact I plead with him to do it now to save our once great Republic.
