Thank you

Thank you, sir, for your clear headed view and researched commentary. It needs no additional comment, only praise.

My husband and my immigrant grandparents arrived on Ellis Island in the 1920 - 30's. Our roots are Italian and Polish. We remember their stories of how...ever so slowly...personal rights and property were taken away. This is happening now in America.

A Ron Paul Presidency would restore the original Constitution's balance of power, eliminating the seemingly absolute power of the current Executive Branch and its failed foreign policy, http://projects.washingtonpost.com/fallen/

Readers, please refer to Ron Paul's archived writings: http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul-arch.html You will find him well versed on current applications of constitutional law.

Respectfully submitted,

CNN should be ashamed.

I agree with you 100%. CNN should be ashamed. Anderson Cooper should be ashamed. This programming was below an acceptable standard for quality television.

Original article: Ron Paul is a baby elephant

A great start!

"In the course of the day, however, he encountered no more than a few hundred local residents..."

A great start!

Original article: A moral "Compass"

Very well done.

Thank you for your very well written article.

Recalling my youth and catechism classes in the 1950's, the Adam and Eve story (the story of original sin) was used to teach free will and its consequences. Eve made a choice to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. I was taught this was the development of independent judgement, or growth into adulthood, or puberty. This story was used to teach me that choices have consequences and responsibilities.

My thanks to Father George Guzewich, my catechism teacher long passed away. The "pain at birthing" issue never came up in his classes.

Peace,

Original article: The GOP's field of dreams

To feed from the trough of taxpayer supported future war:

To feed from the trough of taxpayer supported future war:

Mike Huckabee's website, "I believe that we are currently engaged in a world war. Iraq is a battle in our generational, ideological war on terror. I am focused on winning."

Romney's website,"There are few more urgent priorities for our nation than confronting Iran's dangerous nuclear program and support of terrorist groups targeting Americans. “[W]e need to increase our investment in national defense. This means adding at least 100,000 troops and making a long-overdue investment in equipment, armament, weapons systems, and strategic defense. ... [W]e are going to need at least an additional $30-$40 billion annually...spending a minimum of four percent of GDP on national defense.”

Giuliani's website: We’re at war not because we want to be, but because the terrorists declared war on us—well before the attacks of September 11th. Rudy understands that freedom is going to win this war of ideas. America will win the war on terror.

McCain's website: A greater military commitment now is necessary if we are to achieve long-term success in Iraq... to clear and hold insurgent strongholds; to provide security for rebuilding local institutions and economies; to halt sectarian violence in Baghdad and disarm Sunni and Shia militias; to dismantle al Qaeda; to train the Iraqi Army; and to embed American personnel in Iraqi police units.

Doesn't anybody see the GOP "frontrunners" will escalate the war, the killing, and the DEBT?

Your article barely touches on the debate elliminating the discussion of the war, the most serious issue in this election.

Doesn't this disturb you??

Ron Paul is the only candidate touting the economically necessary stand of PEACE, sound dollar, and small government. Aren't these the original tenets of the GOP?

In an after debate interview with Ron Paul, Mr. Blitzer pointed to a dubious graph indicating 21 "undecided Republican voters" were not supportive to ending the war in the first year of the new presidency. I don't buy it, Mr. Blitzer.

In our family's experience

Our son was homeschooled and achieved a 1270 on the SAT qualifying him to enter our local State University at the age of 17. Our family chose to fund his education while he also works.

Georgia has a Hope Scholarship program which provides full college funding for those students who can retain a 3.0 grade point average. This program is achieved through a State Lottery.

Several of our son's classmates found that retaining a 3.0 was too difficult and chose to alter their majors from Science disciplines to Liberal Arts, Business, or Tech disciplines in order to retain their Hope Scholarships.

It would seem that the government itself is causing the "flight from Science degrees" by requiring an overly high GPA for Science Majors. Many of these students also work to support themselves and are finding it impossible to retain the required credit hours per semester and the 3.0 GPA. These students genuinely want to get an education. They are doing the best they can...yet the Hope Scholarship program does not recognize their efforts as they slip below 3.0 GPA.

Our son keeps a 2.6 GPA, taking 6 - 9 credit hours per semester as a Computer Science major. We all find this quite reasonable considering he also works 30 hours per week.

We might need to consider taking the government (State and Federal - including lotteries which are state sponsored gambling) out of Education. Parents would not discontinue their child's education due to a a slip below a 3.0.
