Original article: Torture and the rule of law

The light in the fog.

Thanks Glenn, for all you do. You are a true patriot and I can't wait to read your stuff! You are a shining light and for that I wish you good fortune in everything you do. Robin

My daily sanity=Glenn Greenwald!

You are a truly a good soul. We have to become more strident and take this more seriously, and thanks to your enlightenment, at least I know of one good place to donate time or money- the ACLU. Thanks a million Glenn, you're an inspiration that one day, maybe, there will be justice.

I was blind but now I see (a little bit)

Thank you Glenn. Even when it shatters all of my childhood impressions of America. We need more good and critical souls out here and I, for one, find inspiration in finding the truth in all things. You are the epitome of clear thinking and it's (once again) refreshing to see through the insanity of the MSM. I never can watch the evening news without deep skepticism. I never have been one to march lockstep with the masses, and for good reason. I don't want to be some sad statistic of mass hysteria. I honestly believe that people suspect worse but simply are too afraid to realize it on a conscious level. I guess it'd blow their minds. You da man. If you're ever needing a mechanic/welder/fabricator in S. America, look me up. I'd be honored to work on your stuff. Bless you once more and keep up the very patriotic job of questioning authority (I'm an older hippy type).

Spinelessness

Another great article. I hope the praise doesn't go to your head (jus funnin'). On the attacks (or lack thereof), I've been more than willing to do it myself in any debate. The Huffington Post is now reflecting the same attitude as the Democratic leadership. That blog is overflowing with trolls now, but they're are never banned for rude or outrageous lies. I've been banned twice for rebutting their nonsense. Go figure. I don't know if it's stealth gop monitors or they just don't want to offend Bill O'Reilly. Either way, I am disgusted at the lame rhetoric that most Dems put out and then see the Thugs tear them up. Don't matter though, as this is the place I come for the truth and more importantly, perspective. I truly wish you a fortunate future (as I do most) and encourage all my buddies/loved ones to check this joint out. Take care.

Choice (or the lack thereof)

Thanks again for the lesson. Choice used to be a hallmark of this country. I guess we're using Henry Ford's axiom now "you can have it in any color you want, as long as it's black". How do we take the media back through the internet when the telcos are in bed with the criminals? I have no solutions (yet), but I want to thank you for another informative article. Take care, Robin.

Superb (per usual)

Thanks once more Glenn, for bringing to light what most want to extinguish. I was disillusioned for years with politics. I just saw it for what it is, mostly the same junk with slightly different spins on it, until this election. I felt compelled for some reason, to get involved. Call it a primal hair raising on the neck feeling. This time it would be really serious and we are at a fork in the road.

Although I've placed your information/opinion on other blogs in the past (which caught traction, by the way), I always give credit to you. This has been getting me banned (twice so far) from HP because of a certain writer over there. What is this fathead's problem with you? I read all kind of right wing kooks spew whatever they please, but if I happen to mention your name on this jerk's blog post, BANNED FROM COMMENTING. When you first wrote about the FISA laws and how they were essentially raping us on the 4th Amendment, this fellow was apologizing in his write ups and couldn't/wouldn't see otherwise. That's cool, I thought, I'll just post the details (yours) in other blogs and they finally stuck (not deleted. They're not quite as "progressive" over there at Huff Po as they'd like for you to believe). Well, needless to say, when the truth about this starting gaining support, lo and behold!, this rip off writer was all over it and not giving any credit for the source (leading one to assume that it was actually HIS ideas). Funny how the truth (when enough people say it) is always adopted by the post-patriots. You know, the ones that poke their head out, after the firestorm of controversy is over, and proclaim that this was their belief all along! Yea! (reminds me of the scene in "The Outlaw Josey Wales" where the ferry operator was singing "Dixie" into the middle of the river until he saw Union troops amassing on the other side and changed right into the "Battle Hymn of the Republic").

So, anyway, I've been spreading the good word and what do you know! NBC's Nightly News last night with Brainless Williams started off the program reading the Section 8 clause of Herman Munster's proposal (authored as you suppose by Cheney). Ta Da! I'm sure this "patriot" blogger for HP is all swollen chested in bringing that to Corporate Media's attention. I know different! I don't want to say what this star reporters name is, so i'll just say it rhymes with Jason Linkins. Take care Glenn and I look forward to more information that other people can plagiarize!

Goody.

Thank you Glenn. (you ever notice how everybody thanks you? I do) Once again, good reporting/informing. As a former Telco worker, I know how ruthless those people can be. I live for the day that bright sunshine is let in on what happened. Maybe, just maybe, we'll live long enough to see Bush and Cheney pay for their crimes. Once again, thanks and keep on keeping on :)
