In the center box (Comment or submission) type "Endangered Species". As of this writing, the top returned find is "Interagency Cooperation Under the Endangered Species Act". If you wish, read the document and how agencies find it "burdensome" and that there is "conflict" between agencies. Poor poor dears.
Now, click the little comment ballon (very small, you can almost overlook it) to see a discouragingly long form with lots of required fields so as to discourage response. (You are also advised that you can post a letter (which is what I'll probably do) to: Public Comment Processing, Attention: 1018-AT50, Division of Policy and Directives Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 4401 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 222, Arlington, VA 22203

That's it! That's why I don't watch TV news any longer. Of course, some 70 or 80% of the country hangs on their every non-authoritative word as if it were all so, so I guess we're in poo.
But thanks, Tom Tomorrow, for giving me a little lift to start my day.
I agree entirely with Kitt. I wasn't even able to listen to the entire three minutes of the YouTube video because Hannity's incessant mouthing, yelling, of "talking points" sent my blood pressure up 25 points. They are so obviously not a legitimate news organization. They should be ignored.
I have a question. Why is this?: At the risk of lurching into the dark world of paranoia and "everything's a plot", why does my satellite service (Dish) include, in it's economy, lowest-price, "family" package, only one "news" station? It doesn't include CNN or MSNBC. The only channel with news "shows" included is Fox.
I can't but fully agree with ham_loaf: I didn't see any slouching on Manny's part. I saw not enough other players dependably getting on base; I saw a crazy "who's the pitcher this second" in Game 4. I saw errors, too many, in Game 5 when it just was not the time for any of that nonsense. Game 5 I saw too many arguments "what was that last call?!" arguments with the ump which could've only been displaced frustration.
Bummer for us Dodger fans. But to place the onus on Manny is kinda weird. My 2 cents.
I disagree about the entire time and money argument. Though it has definite merit, it doesn't answer for everything by a long shot.
I could mention how odd it seems that for many, a vacation abroad consists of traveling on a huge ship and opting for mini-forays into carefully choreographed and pre-vetted spots in "foreign lands".
But I think the major factor is that, in my experience, a majority of Americans seem to have little or no intellectual curiosity about ... well ... the rest of the world, except as it relates directly to them. A core reason for travel, as I see it, is to step outside one's self, outside your usual experiences. I never hear someone say, "I wonder what a person in [other country] thinks about [whatever]".
As another responder brought to mind, I think the furthest most of my co-citizens want to venture is to a theme park. If travel were much cheaper, I don't think it would make a difference -- as I referenced above as to the *way* many of us choose to travel, in little bubbles of familiarity.
