An inherent drawback of the sites system then?

And one cannot ban a commenter from a specific blog, since that would require banning them from Salon entirely, something that Salon is loathe to do. -- Anonymust

Ah well, that makes it considerably more difficult then. I didn't realize that. The only thing I read at Salon is GG though so I wouldn't know how the greater site works.

Sugarman

but it will connect israel with the rest of the world which, sad to say, agrees with me (doesn't know or cares to know about the palestinians (including their brother arabs))

-- david sugarman

It would indeed be "sad to say" if it were the least bit true. You are certifiable. Every time I read something you have written a vision of Gollum pops into my head. You are truly a sad, loathsome creature.

Everyone is out to get the Jews... and yet not, because the rest of the world "agrees with you." You are seriously out of your God given mind. Do you ever puke up your nonsense in public? In polite company? Do you have any friends to speak of? How is it that your family has not recognized your insanity and gotten you some help?

Man, just do it. Find a way. For the love of all that is holy - get some help.

Conservatives and their willing dupes

That's interesting information, Annie. I have no real knowledge of his body of work, nor his political leanings. You said what I was trying to say better than I could, which often isn't difficult. Cheers. -- Intercooler

It was (is) apparent you didn't (don't) know about "his political leanings." As a result you probably also don't realize that people like Crichton and Fukuyama (or any other backtracking conservative), though they are trying to sound reasonable now in an attempt to distance and cleanse themselves by duping ignorant people such as yourself, are the very people that have in the past and will again in the future, fund, support and vote for a new round of conservative "saviors."

They are reasonable... what he said was reasonable right? We should give them the benefit of the doubt and forget or ignore history and listen to and judge their current remarks on the content of those remarks correct?

That's not only ignorant, it's harmful. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and know something about who you are commenting on or don't comment at all. The last thing we need is more people willing to give these conservative devils a pass because they sound reasonable "at the moment." If the country somehow manages to survive and makes it through a moderately conservative Obama administration, only to see a new round of "the greater of two evils" darken our doorstep, that darkening will be because of people who had "no real knowledge of their body of work or their political leanings."

?

What is going on here? Is bucky truly gone? Comments section closed for cleansing and then reopened... who can tell what is real and what is fiction anymore? If he passed Thursday night then why are there posts from him during the day Friday? Not that I believe there is something fishy afoot necessarily - this would obviously not be something to joke about - I am just confused and feeling sad and angry and all of it. I didn't even realize he was sick.

So sad.

RMP

I am concluding that Bucky1's brother meant to say Friday night because the last statement about LWM to Jebbie, "Jebbie, you left out all the posts under other handles! Easily double the above I wager." sure sounded like the Bucky1 we knew. -- Retired Military Patriot

Yes that is what I was referring to. If it wasn't Bucky that authored those Friday morning posts, it sure "sounded" like him. Doesn't really matter though. If he is gone, he is gone. Someone else (Bill Owen?) earlier upthread said that, though they didn't really know him in any "real life" sense, they were surprised at how saddened they were by this. I feel the same way. I didn't agree with many of Bucky's "big L" Libertarian positions but I will miss him. He did his best to keep people honest and voiced an anti-war/pro-liberty stance that was more than worthwhile.

Peace be unto him and his kin.
