Jabari, Ireland isn't boring but you are.I'
[Read the article: Obama breaks fundraising record]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm INSTIGATING some base impulses, according to you. This accusation knocks me down with a feather. What have I been reading from partisan groups over the lst two weeks? Compliments, "thank you kindly", etc. I seem to have touched a nerve but we foreigners have a fair idea of how you feel about non-Americans. Well now maybe you Americans can stop your military pkanes landing at Shannon Airport on the way to and from Iraq? Perhaps, in future, when you want to launch a war based on lies you'd be "civil" enough to let the British people know that Blair's support for th US adventure would cost life and limb in London? Do you know the nationality of all those passengers on the planes that went into the Twin Towers?
I don't like your threatening tone, Jabari. I've used no vitriol. I don't need to, as people like you are more than accomplished at maligning those who disagree with you. I'll leave this forum when it pleases me to do so. A number of "posters" make intelligent and interesting points. Unfortunately, you are not one of them. It's late here now, Jabari, but I suppose you've considered that there are other people on the planet besides your surly self and that we live in different time zones. Cheerio for the moment.

Anonymous I hardly understan myself.
[Read the article: Obama breaks fundraising record]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I just want to say that I put a bet on McCain, before his Florida victory. I explained my reasons when I did it some days ago. In horse-racing you bet on the one who think can win. The bitter feuding between the Obama and Clinton camps will come back to haunt them. Futhermore, if the US cuts and runs from Iraq, leavin turmoil behind from a war that should never have been startet, how do think this will look to the rest of the world, to friends and, more significantly
to enemies. My eyes are closinf so "Hasta luego".

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thw war was lready going badly when Barack opposed. I remember seeing Cindy Sheehanwhose son was killed in Iraq protesting outside the Bush range and ther were very large demonstrations in Western Europe. Please don't forgrt those innocent train passengers in Madrid. I don't know the level of protest in the USA but it began right from March 2003, because it was perceived as an illegal invasion of a foreign country which had not attacked America. In March 2003 it looked as though Americans had the whip hand but that changed very quickly when the Sunnis and Shi'ites starting taking skelps out of each and the so-called "Coalition of the Willing". It seems quieter and, for the sake of the war-numbed people, I hope that their lives improvre.

Thanks for the information, Anonymous, but I'm still somewhat puzzled.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's morning here and I have to go out but I was looking ata video of Frank Luntz, a face familiar to us over here because he brought his hired skills to this island last April/May in the run-up to our general election. Yeah, he wouldn't be "my cup of tea" - you know what I mean - but this is something that certainly perplexes me: why are Right-wing pundits such as Robert Novak, among many others, taking such a "softly, softly" approach to Obama? He should be anathema to them but still they're hoding fire. I see that Obama's connection to Rezko is being considered on Salon now but I haven't time to read it yet. The Internet has been instrumental in propagating conspiracy theories around the world. "Bad, bad Leroy Brown" hasn't popped up yet. Rove has got a new job and must now be hatching new plans for the aftermath of Super Tuesday. Rumsfeld/Cheney, Bush plus Rove duped the American people who should have been determined to keep Bush out of the White House in 2004. He may not have been your choice but Americans reinstated him and there was no talk of a "stolen" election in 2004. Don't blame non-Americans for what has turned into a debacle.

We have enough liars and cheats of our own, Mr, McClelland without you dumping yours on us
[Read the article: How close were Barack Obama and Tony Rezko?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So disgraced Republican Governor George Ryan is Irish, is he? Funny but I've never heard of him and I was born and live on the Emerald Isle. He even went to a Catholic school! That must really be significant. Where's Jim Croce's "Leroy Brown" in all of this? I suppose he's driving either his Continental or could it be his Eldorado? You can keep George Ryan for yourselves, thank you very much and all that.
