Just hope he doesn't foreget his teleprompter when sitting down to talk with the Iranians. It bears repeating that proferssor of constitutional law is hardly a qualification. Given that he published nothing in his entire career... and became president of the most prestigious law review in the country, this hardly strikes one as a qualification. Mrs. Palin was fighting corruption in her party, while Obama was running on old school Chicago machine political tactics. Oh, right, "community organizing." What has he done in the senate? Run for president. Nothing else. McCain is looking to the future of his party... and all of you who want to make petty comments about his choice of a woman are the ones turning back the clock on women's progress in this country. This is why Republicans consistently win on a national level, they stay focused on what is important.
It's exactly the hypocritical lefties like Godot posting their "I'm the cool cynic" comments that makes the dems so unappealing and maybe why only two have been elected since FDR. You should be able to debate on issues without the immature nonsense.
Assuming she's a token is offensive to women, because it's a knee-jerk reaction that assumes women have no other appeal and puts gender first and issues second.
You argue a tested ethical standard bearer as the undercard vs. old school Chicago machine politics on the top of the ticket, with no credentials. Who brings the touted change to Washington? The so-called "community organizer," the radical left-wing contingent or the people who fight corruption even with their own party?
Problem with your argument, Pancho, is that she's the bottom of the ticket. How did Biden get there? Oh, yeah, same way. And all you can point to for the top of your ticket, is a campaign that was made possible by the media infatuation with Barack Obama. Democracy in action.

How do you tout "community organizing" as a credential for leading the country? If he had done anything of note you would not have to grasp at these straws for experience, and he would not be citing his undergraduate major as a credential. He diverted funds to secure ACORN backing, learned militant tactics working with Ayers, and hatred from his pastor of 20 years. You try to denigrate Palin by saying her decisions were unimportant because the state is not heavily populated... tell that to an Alaskan. Sarah Barracuda has directly taken on corruption in her state, in her party, and come out victoriously.
The last poster had it right on... Palin has already overwhelmingly energized the republican base, and they will go to the polls. And Barack and his Greek temple B. Spears stage set will go back and maybe do something in the Senate aside from run for president.
As for the Palin "controversy": do you really dismiss the danger of an officer of the law tazing his 11 year-old son and threatening the life of his father in law? Was she not right to be concerned for her nephew? And rid the department of a chief who wouldn't do anything about a dangerous cop, and the dangerous cop himself?
People, at least be willing not to spin these issues beyond recognition.
The whole point the left is making here only underscores Barack's total lack of executive experience. You say Palin hasn't enough experience to be VP, so elect someone with less to be presidesnt. I have yet to see anyone put Obama's experience next to McCain's, because you can't.
wore a mini-skirt? giggled on air? She has almost as little experience as Obama. McCain just picked a vagina-American to pander...
Keep up with the junior high school gossip-mongering, and once the left wing Barackanalia wears off, and America sobers up to go to the polls, you'll all be lamenting yet another loss come November.
The pick of Mrs. Palin demonstrates that McCain knows what other experienced campaigners (unlike Barack) have proven time and again... there are far more conservatives out there than liberals. Look around the web, the energy she has generated is completely galvanizing the conservative base, bringing home everyone from Evangelicals to 2nd Amendment enthusiasts and sportsmen, and getting them working for the ticket. They now believe they can trust McCain, and his immediate donations of over $7 million in contributions proves it.
She stole the thunder (and bounce) from the Barackanalia in Denver less than 24 hours after his speech. She is no token, and is not there to pander to anyone at all, but to offer one of their own as a true agent for change in the face of the most liberal ticket offered in God knows how long. And the chronic underestimation of her ability to connect, to reform, and to stand for her principles in the face of pressure is what will get them to the White House. They know she represents the future of the Republican Party and for the conservation of their values they will mobilize.
