[Read the article: Surveilling Arlen Specter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am sorry i said people sounded like "bitter lunatics." that was a bad choice of words. Everyone is great and wonderful. I love you all.
But...
Can someone please give me some concrete examples of evil things that Spector has done other than complaining about Bush and then failing to get anything done about it?
Please, educate me. I promise I won't call anyone a lunatic.
Can someone show me a Democrat who has complained about Bush and done something about it that actually worked?
Can someone show me ANYONE who has complained about Bush and then done something about it that actually had an effect? - other than the recent Supreme Court ruling (where they delivered a giant bitch smack).

i am in crazy land
[Read the article: Surveilling Arlen Specter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]ok - its eerie that every other post in here is the SAME thing over and over. it sounds like a bunch of trained monkeys. oh wait... thats because it is a bunch of trained monkeys. its obviously the neocon spin machine and its the same story over and over... specter and mccaine are phonies.
bahhhhh... whatever - yeah the two moderates that neocons hate are phonies. ok whatever.
the posts dont even make sense. they say nothing. dont bother pretending anymore. you are obviously rightwing dorkbags *yeah you heard me* :)
say what you want... call me a troll. call me whatever - at least i am not a soulless zombie sucking the life out of america.

uhh no not really
[Read the article: Surveilling Arlen Specter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]i lived in pennsylvania during that case. i remember it. no one feels like specter carried out selective justice and secondly that doesn't say anything about his political record.
the fact is - this thread is full of a bunch of neocon trained parrots who dont like specter or mccain. im not fooled anymore.
the real villians: neocons. not moderates like mccain and specter.
sorry douchebags.

i agree - this article could have been more informative
[Read the article: Revoltin' Bolton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I read all the letters here, and I agree with the basic consensus which seems to be that the article could have been more informative and perhaps had a bit more depth.
Why not talk about Bolten's record more instead of his hair?
Also, one interesting thing that someone could get into: It seems like although Bush and Co's arrogance is well known, appointing someone like Bolten could also be a symptom of a larger problem. The U.N. does seem like a corrupt and inneffectual arrogant machine just as much as Bolten does. The U.N. members aren't interested in world peace and all this gibber jabber. They are out to get theirs. It's similar to each congress member trying to get all the pork they can back into their district except on a global scale. These people all have agendas. I could see how someone with little savoir faire like Bush might deal with this by appointing someone like Bolten. Bush might think it's just the thing that all those knuckle heads deserve. Maybe it is haah. No - I don't actually believe that. I believe we could use someone a bit smarter. My gut feeling, however, is that dealing with the U.N. is probably alot like smashing your head against a pile of manure.
Either way, Bolten seems like the type of guy you'd like to jump up and smack in the head.

wow
[Read the article: Watching Beirut die]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There were many many many striking things in that article.
I am only going to comment on one thing, however, that struck me:
How we have such wonderful people in the US Armed Services who are being turned into Monsters by Bush and Co. It's so sad. I honestly believe the majority of them set out to do good things and protect us. What Bush is doing to them is like if NYC sent the FDNY out to kill homeless people because sometimes they start fires that destroy buildings or disrupt the subway system. I mean, what glory and good would there be in that?
I guess I would comment on the situation but it honestly makes my head spin. One thing I do know is that Bush and Condi's gloating mugs really turn my stomach at this moment.

mr. skewed reality says....
[Read the article: Watching Beirut die]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Too bad they fired those rockets into Israel and kidnapped those IDF soldiers. If they hadn't done that, none of this would be happening."
I think the article did a wonderful job of dismissing this simple statement/argument. Mr. Reality... you should try reading the entire article.
