WHere have they been while you were obsessing and your husband was having an internet fling? Neither of you thought about them.
They know you are distressed. They know something's wrong.
You don't trust him, and let's be honest. He's not trustworthy. He lied before, and as MattieLisbon pointed out, he's colluding with the mistress to deny you information.
Do you want to teach your children to put up with such nasty, selfish behavior? That they are so worthless they deserve that? Children learn from their parents. Parents are the biggest influences. Is this depression and obsession what you would wish on them? If it is not, then why do you think you deserve it?
Leave him for your children's sake. Leave him so they can see a healthy relationship. Leave him so they will be strong enough to leave an emotional manipulator if they run into one. If you stay, they will seek out the manipulator.
It's about more than just you. What you and your husband are doing can condemn them to a life of pain that will take a whole lot of counseling and still possibly not get through.
Do you want your kids to marry a liar? If not, you can't stay married to one, either. Without trust there is no love. Without love a house chills a child.
I believe in marriage. But this is soul murder. Leave him for your kids, if you are not strong enough to leave for yourself. It's ok to be a doormat when it's only you who will get hurt. But I guarantee that you are modeling self-destructive behavior to your kids here. They will emulate you, or come to despise you.
Love your children enough to leave.
So they don't think this was misconduct rising to the level of needing a new trial? Evil.
It took Thin Blue Line to get that innocent man out. It will take a lot more attention to save this possibly innocent man. I hope Salon and other media keep up the pressure.
As for the person above, since Hood did not get a fair trial, we DO NO KNOW that he shot and killed these two people. The evidence was not tested in a fair and impartial way, as demanded by the Constitution.
Remember "Snakes on a Plane"? Notoriety doesn't make up for not funny. This was not funny.
If you have to explain the joke, it ain't funny. Bottom line. They can say lighten up all they want. I can say "don't quit your day job." That one's pathetic. That's funny?
Compare the line to random Marsha Winfield. "My hair used to look like yours, but now I take my meds."
He's like the first round rejects on America's Got Talent. Someone told those fools they were funny/talented too.
You want funny? Try the trailer for Chris ROck's "Good Hair." That's funny. Or Brett Butler doing anything. I swear the woman can breathe funny.
Compared to real comedians, this is truly lame. And advertising lameness doen't make it less lame.
Key difference
Ah, but Domini, did the professors join in as well?
How quickly and conveniently you forget.....
No the professors did not join in. You are evidently mistaking me for someone else.

There is no doubt. She lied. The DA announced that.
She needs to go to jail to deter this stuff. I'm tired of it. From lynching to Susan Smith to the run-away bride, we've had far too many examples of the lying and innocent men who can't get their names back. Just like these guys. Some women (as implied here) will always see them as having gotten away with something.
WHen I was at Ohio State in grad school, in 1988 or 1989, some white woman falsely claimed to have been raped by a black man. Campus police terrorized black men until physical evidence proved she had been lying. She had been cheating with another white guy, and didn't want her boyfriend to find out. She got off with probation and community service, moved and never did the community service. Her behavior was a knife turn in the racial wounds on that campus. I will never forget a white women's studies MA lecturing me on my "duties to gender" as a black woman and how I needed to get over "race" to understand our class meant that the men's suffering meant nothing. That incident and lecture are why I still won't teach in Women's Studies on my campus to this day. I don't call myself a feminist, because if excusing false accusations was a part of it (and in 1989 it WAS a part of being a "feminist" at Ohio State) I wanted no part of it.
You can NOT excuse a false accusation. Period. She lied. She recanted. She should go to jail. Because those guys don't get back the time they spent in jail, time that will mark them for the rest of their lives. When they fill out background check forms that ask "Have you been arrested for a felony" they have to check yes and explain it. They have to relive that powerlessness again.
She needs punishment for that.
