Democrat

The "Democrat" game may indeed be juvenile, but the Republicans know what they are doing. The same game was played to turn "liberal" into a four-letter word.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 10:48 AM

And they claim

that this is "supporting the troops?"

He doesn't know

At least he didn't say that he couldn't recollect ever remembering whether or not there was a meeting to determine if he knew or was supposed to know.

Tuesday, October 9, 2007 03:52 PM

Unfair Question

What do private equity firms and hedge funds have to do with 9/11?

Tuesday, October 23, 2007 07:38 AM

"Science" changes,

but those are not changes driven by random selection, but as better understanding and observations drive it asymptotically towards "truth". Maybe God resides there, but Huckabee equates God with the Bible, which is rather stupid.

Dumb Blonde?

Dana Perino is too dumb to be a real blonde.

Phony

The reporters may have been phony, but they did a heckuva job.

Pat Paulsen

COmedian Pat Paulsen from the Smothers Brothers TV show ran similar presidential campaigns in the 60's and 70's and even into the 90's. He even got some votes.

Original article: Hypocrite much?

Support the troops

Bush has requested about $200 billion for the war next year. That's only about $1.3 million per serviceman/woman.

Sept. 28, 2006

As TG Chicago points out, even when these stooges are "right", they're wrong.

NIE

"We're making progress. The next six months will be crucial. Some things could have been done differently. The Iraqis love their freedoms. The world is better off without Saddam. Obama Bin Laden is in his last throes."

Thursday, November 29, 2007 09:13 AM

Obama is a Muslim?

As if to one up Time magazine in reporting errors and rumors as fact, the Washington Post today recycles the "Obama is a Muslim" meme on its front page.

It was...

...just like Joseph Smith. It was unbelievable.

Monday, December 10, 2007 07:38 AM

Objective?

Bush has made it very clear that our objective in Iraq is to succeed. Hope that helps.

If Huckabee is a Mac...

...he is the original 128K Mac with a limited black and white display and at most a single floppy disk drive, incapable of expansion or the ability to run modern software.

Original article: Shh! Al-Qaida is listening

Perino said

"I really know nothing about waterboarding. It had to do with water and a board, I'm pretty sure. Maybe a boat, too."

Original article: The atheist delusion

Face the Facts

We are all completely ignorant of God. Some of us may choose to believe in something supernatural, but that belief is based on faith, not on facts. Most religion are fundamentally different from Science in that they start with the answer, and then try to figure out the questions must be.

Pernicious and troubling

Time to cue up the Hillary Clinton laugh machine.

Original article: This is not an attack

Vision is not enough

George Bush has/had a vision for America, but it's not my vision for America.

Thursday, January 3, 2008 07:48 AM

Original article: Remember electability?

Good for Edwards

Leaping from 7 to 8% is a 14% increase in support (but only 12.5% using Huckabee-math).

Wednesday, January 9, 2008 10:32 AM

Clinton won NH

That's it. It was close and not a rout. The pollsters and pundits were wrong; let them figure out amongst themselves why they were wrong. It is early in the primary season, it is not yet decided, and there are a lot of potential delegates yet to win. Move on.

Wednesday, January 9, 2008 10:34 AM

The graphic sucks

Add me to the list. And I'm not really a Clinton supporter.

Original article: Still looking for that pony

O'Sullivan

With insights like this, he needs his own New York Times column. The only thing that will save the GOP this time is if the Democratic candidates completely destroy each other in the primaries.

Wednesday, January 23, 2008 09:52 AM

Time for What?

After watching the incompetence/inability of the congressional Democrats to do anything meaningful, and the determination of the leading presidential candidates to destroy the Democratic party from within, there is little reason to be optimistic that any of the massive problems that continue to accumulate will ever be solved or even started down the right track to a solution.

Thursday, January 24, 2008 12:36 PM
Original article: There's no taking sides

Criticism

Both Obama and Clinton have provided ample reasons to criticize them, while neither have actually exhibited much in the way of leadership. For example, either or both should be taking a more active role in the opposition to Harry Reid, who forces his own party to explicitly filibuster while granting the Republicans a free pass. They are in the Senate, after all.

Original article: Quote of the speech

Sometimes you have to make a speech with the examples you have, not the ones you wish you had.

Too bad you can't buy an election.

Original article: Say it ain't so, Hugh

Sorry

Rush Limbaugh and James Dobson have convinced me that McCain is evil and to vote Democratic instead.

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 11:34 AM
Original article: A future President Clinton?

What about Roger?

The pundits seem to have given up on Roger Clinton. If he found Jesus he might be just as qualified as our current president.

Friday, February 29, 2008 03:53 PM

So 20th Century...

Manned space flight is an idea that is past its prime. Unmanned space exploration delivers much more return on investment.

Friday, March 7, 2008 07:40 AM

Was is legal?

Dana Priest: Ah ha -- but was is "legal" information?

Again, that depends on what the definition of "is" is.

Friday, March 7, 2008 12:08 PM

Why bother?

It's getting to the point where the only reason I tend to vote for Democrats is because they are not Republicans.

Original article: McCain loses his patience

Should have waited...

Bumiller should have called him at 3AM to get his response.

Friday, March 14, 2008 07:53 AM

Ignorant and Deceitful

Pretty much is the definition of the modern Republican party.

Thursday, March 27, 2008 09:33 PM

Ignorant America

You would have to be ignorant to not understand what she was saying. Fox News viewers, I guess.

Thursday, April 3, 2008 07:45 AM

The Children

wouldn't be sleeping so soundly if they knew how much debt the Republicans are running up for them to pay when they grow up.

Monday, April 7, 2008 11:36 AM

The Marching Morons

The quality of our "leadership" in this country is just embarassing. That these people keep getting elected is even more so.

Tuesday, April 8, 2008 10:01 AM

As far as I know...

Hillary is not a monster. She says she is not a monster, and I have no reason to doubt that she isn't a monster.

But even if she is a monster, and she somehow manages to muscle her way to the nomination, I would have to choose her over McBush.
