Dennis Kucinich is the kind of individual all public servants should emulate. I have always admired his willingness to say what others dare not, and follow through with action. He will never lose his seat in Congress, you can be sure of that, because the people in his district always have access to him, and love him for the true patriot he really is. When he is in Cleveland,(or you're in Washington), you can get an appointment and actually sit down with him and tell him about your problem. If it has merit, you can bet your ass he'll do something about it.No need to worry about being put on hold, or made to wait forever to see him, either. He sincerely wants to help, and it has absolutely nothing with getting votes. He really gives a damn about the people who placed their trust in him. He has stood up to every hypocrite in Washington, Democrat or Republican, and is a formidible foe. A righteous man in politics is a rare commodity, and Dennis lives up to his billing. Many in Washington and elsewhere have called him a nut-case, but those crooks and liars do so because they are afraid of him, and seek to diminish his stature. God Bless You, Mr. Kucinich.
Personally, I find the majority of television programming revolting, insipid, or just downright idiotic. Reality shows aren't real: They're partially scripted, low-buck, high-return drivel that only a moron can enjoy. The people on them are shallow, vacuous, self-important douche bags that I wouldn't give the time of day to.
Want a REAL Reality Show? Take all these contestants/assholes, (and the producers, too), and put them all in a real prison, with real prisoners, real guards, real razor wire, real danger, real lousy food, and see how they make out. Let's see how far they'd go to make a million. "Hmmmm, should I shank Ashley because she allied herself with Troy?"...That's a self-cleaning oven if I ever saw one. They'd all be dead in 2 weeks, and we'd be spared the further indignity of these crass exhibitions.
You act, (and write), like televison is high-quality stuff when it isn't. Quality TV takes a lot of time and money to produce. Junk TV is a cheap way to make a lot of money, and that is really all it is about these days. Feed 'em cheap garbage, rake it in, and to hell with the rest of you.
You're just as shallow and tawdry as the shows you write about. Get a real job.
It may have been a slow start, but when the debate centers on the economy, Obama better start landing some real haymakers on McCain, or he'll appear weak. Time for the gloves to come off. McCain can't offer anything to refute the current economic dive we are in, and this should be his Waterloo. McCain has supported the New Rights' "Free Market" philosophy from the get-go, and even though he's rebuked all manner of policiies he's supported in the past, he can't wiggle out of this secenario, because he is part of the problem, not the solution. I hope Obama ties into that catch phrase, and nails McCain with it.
Palin should be thrown to the lions by the McCain camp, but if it happens, voters will think the McCain campaign as even fruitier and wishy-washier than before, and that's big negative.
On the other hand, if they stick with their decision, (which I believe they will, if not out of sheer arrogance but the need to show some kind of continuity), the voters already know what a colossal screw-up she is, and that won't help either.
It's what I term a "Mexican Stand-Off"...damned if you do, damned if you don't. This is a no-win situation.
I can see no way they can extricate themselves from this predicament and come out looking good, which is a good thing, because this country can ill-afford the likes of McCain and Palin in the White House.
This Thursday night could be the final bell for McCain & Co.
If you want to see for yourself what McCain is really like, go to this address:

Wear a sweater, it will chill you to the bone.
The real reason the Drug War will go on forever is that there are too many people making zillions on the Black Market. I am not speaking of the Drug Lords exclusively. There are a lot of legitimate corporations making oodles of this dirty money, and they use Americas'idiotic Puritanical mores to keep the Golden Goose alive. The alcohol, tobacco, and big pharmaceutical companies actually have lobbyists that work to keep the illicit substances illegal, because they want you to take their drugs, not the ones from Mexico or Colombia. It's a hideously twisted money merry-go-round, and everyone on it is making out like crazy. The only ones who get screwed are the small-time users and mid-level dealers. The rest go scott free.
Besides, where would all the shave-headed, jack-booted, machine-gun toting, Nazi thugs the DEA employs find work if the program was ended? Don't forget about the courts, local police, lawyers, and prisons that would be "damaged financially" if we were to flush this monster down the toilet, either.
