Hillary Clinton

Gag me with a bar of soap.

Good interview

Personally, I think that consciousness is a form of coherent, self-sustaining information in the same way that the first cells were a form of coherent, self-sustaining matter.

The problem of religious knowledge in the university setting is that the university is devoted to 'discovered' knowledge: how to discover knowledge for yourself, and what has been discovered so far. Religious knowledge seems to be solely 'revealed' knowledge, what someone has said is true, and there is no way to discover it for yourself, you either believe it or you don't. For this reason I don't believe it makes sense to teach religious knowledge in the university, unless you are teaching knowledge that can be discovered about religion, which is to say, knowledge 'about' religion but which is not 'religious' knowledge.

jncc1701 says

"but honestly we cannot leave - the resulting chaos..."

Clearly there is chaos there now, but you knew that. Will the new chaos be greater or lesser? Nobody knows that. Our presence is causing a lot of the current chaos, like a foreign object in a human body that stimulates a rejection reaction.

The problem with staying until we 'succeed', whatever that is, is twofold:

1. The human body never stops it's rejection reaction without drugs to suppress the reaction. How do we duplicate that in Iraq, kill everybody that hates us? Aren't we doing that already, without success?

2. If you reach equilibrium, or stability, but do so by requiring major support, then after remove that support, the system again becomes unstable and must re-equilibrate. Lets get to the true equilibrium now by leaving, not prop something up that will only collapse when we leave. To create something strong enough to not collapse when we leave will take 20 years or more, longer than reaching stability will take if we leave now.

Clinton = Republican

FTA: 'Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer put out a statement faulting Obama's Iran-based criticism of Clinton as "the same old attack politics" launched by the "flagging campaign" of a candidate whose "poll numbers" were "falling."'

Just like the Republicans, don't answer the criticism, probably because they have no answer, instead attack the criticizer. She can out-republican any republican.

gag me

Can anyone doubt now that Hillary Clinton is a fool and a liar? About her first vote to allow military force in Iraq she said "Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have voted that way". That's like a driver, seeing something fall out of their car, parks on a railroad tracks to run back to get it, only to watch as a train smashes their car and kills their whole family. Their response ala Hillary: "Knowing what I know now, I guess I shouldn't have parked on the tracks". But even that lame excuse is a lie. Now that she has voted to declare the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization, she has once again authorized Bush to use force in the middle east, proving even her pathetic excuse "knowing what I know now" to be a lie. Now she knows, but still votes like a war monger. If she gets the nomination it will prove that Democrats are just as stupid as Republicans. Perhaps more stupid, since the folly of war is in front of them, but they still chose a war monger.

"Nuke the entire revolutionary guard and the all the mullahs to show what happens to a-holes who supply IED's and IED training to terrorists."

We supplied weapons to terrorists when Russia invaded Afganistan. Why is it Americans cry so hard when someone does to us what we routinely do to the rest of the world?

On a related note, I hope your money is in gold, because an attack on Iran will percipitate a global depression.

Clean house?

You've got to be kidding. The democrats will relish every bit of power the bush administration has acquired. They won't change a thing.

Throw it down the shitter? Is that what you want her to do? I have a suggestion, how about using it in service to the American people! Pretty radical huh?

Freedom DOES NOT require religion

Freedom requires respect for others. Freedom requires the sentiment that has preceeded all religion: do unto others what you would have others do unto you.

What an unspeakable ass

The government should confiscate everything this man owns, and everything owned by all the others that supported this war. That would only go a short way to pay for it, but that would be a start.
