  • What's the difference?

[Read the article: No s-e-x on Valentine's Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If I have to call it Christmas, they have to call it St. Valentine's Day!

  • What's wrong with the Democrats?

[Read the article: And in other news ...]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Paul Hackett would not go down on bended knee before the hierarchy of the Democratic Party. They lost a good and winnng candidate.

They also lost another party member. I'll not send them anymore money. I'll support only those candidates that speak for me and I'll send them my checks directly.

This is the last straw. I am no longer a Democrat.

  • Isn't this a Philip Roth Book?

[Read the article: The unborn shall inherit the earth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I remember reading about the natural continuation of this in a Philip Roth book. Nixon, before dying while having surgery to remove the sweat glands from his upper lip, had come up with a plan to make all fetuses Republican voters.

We haven't come so far from our Puritan origins.

  • OFFENSIVE SPEECH

[Read the article: Bloggers, Don Imus and free speech]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that you don't have the right to be offended.

  • PHOTO OP

[Read the article: Smearing Bill to get Hillary?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Just keep publishing the pictures of Bill and his real dad, George H.W. Bush!

  • SCALIA, ISN'T HE THE ONE WHO SAID

    [Read the article: "The Nine"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"The counting of votes that are of questionable legality does in my view threaten irreparable harm to petitioner, and to the country, by casting a cloud upon what he claims to be the legitimacy of his election."

So to count the votes would harm bush. Seems like a fair way to elect a president.

  • I LIKE KO'F

[Read the article: Kansas O'Flaherty ... Secret Agent]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'm not sure where it's going but I am enjoying the view so far.

Don't read it. There are several writers in Salon who I dislike intensely. I just don't click on their link. See how easy that was.

I appreciate my premium membership and will keep it up.

  • IT'S NOW CLEAR

[Read the article: If Clinton gets the nomination, would Michelle Obama support her?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If my candidate does not get the nomination, I'm sitting this one out.

  • I AM NOW SO HOMESICK!

    [Read the article: Gumbo city]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Muffalettas from Central Market and roast beef poboys from Verde Marte, dressed with! Passing by the A&P for ham from the butcher and by the Farmers Market for veggies while I walked home from work at The Hibernia.

I have not been back since Katrina. I'm not sure when I will return. I mourn almost daily.

  • I say, "Book 'em, Dano...

[Read the article: John Gibson wants rappers arrested for their lyrics]

and start with Cheney for his foul language inside our hallowed Capitol!

  • I STILL LIKE IT

[Read the article: Kansas O'Flaherty ... Secret Agent]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

and this week made me laugh out loud.

  • KAHOMONO

It's a good thing that you will renew your subscription because Salon is cancelling this strip because they will lose my subscription.

I like Kansas. There are several columnists at Salon who I dislike intensely. I don't ask for their voices to be silenced. I just don't click through to them.

I never understood why some of you found it necessary to rip this strip to shreds. If you hated it so, why didn't you just ignore it. If so many of you did so, it would have gone away.

  • SO JOAN

[Read the article: Will Obama's debate stumble hurt him?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

all you have to do is just agree with all these nice people and agree to never write another disturbing word. We can't have too many differing opinions around here.

  • Let me see if I underdstand this.

[Read the article: Iran complains about Clinton comments]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If Iran nukes Israel, then President Obama will sit down at the round table and negotiate with the president from Iran?

    That is good to know.

  • Thanks for the responses.

[Read the article: Iran complains about Clinton comments]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I do get it. I voted for Obama in the Texas primary.

It seems to me that this is just another excuse to bash Clinton.

  • @dterrydraw

[Read the article: What's so bad about "sweetie," anyway?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I don't understand it either. I does seem to me that the response to being orrected by a woman is to yellv at her and insult another. This cannot be true since you go to great lengths to tell us how polite you father is.

  • CORRECTION - SORRY

  • CHANGING PARTIES

[Read the article: Lieberman takes swipe at Democrats, Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I believe if Lieberman switches to the Republican party, Chuck Hagel will go Independent or Democratic thereby maintaining the balance.

  • I WILL NOT LIVE TO SEE IT!

[Read the article: Waiting for the first Madam President]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I believe that I will not ever have the chance to vote for or against a woman for president.

Regardless of your like or dislike of Clinton, she will be the last serious female candidate for a long time. It is more than the "anyone but Hillary" effect.

  • HILLARY VOTERS ARE NOT

[Read the article: Waiting for the first Madam President]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

whining that sexism derailed her campaign. We are saying that it was a factor. She did make mistakes. So have all the other candidates.

I'm not sure why some think that I don't know of other women out here who are qualified to be president. I know there are many. I don't believe they can be elected.

I really liked the comment above that it's not because they were women but that they (Clinton and Ferraro) were just the wrong women! Har. I love a good laugh in the morning.

  • THANK YOU, JOAN

[Read the article: A new low in Clinton bashing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    I concur.

  • FLORIDA VOTES

[Read the article: A different view of Saturday's protests]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Obbiously the answer would have been for all Democrats to stay at home after the Republican legislature in Florida changed the dates on them for the primary. They should not have voted at all. Now that's democracy.

  • SEN JOE

[Read the article: Reid: "Lieberman is an important vote for this caucus"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As a Clinton supporter, I know of no better person than Joe Lieberman to convince me to vote for Obama.

Keep up the good work, Joe.

  • Guys kissing and a McCain ad?

[Read the article: "I just want mayonnaise. I don't want guys kissing"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That was an interesting juxtaposition. At the end of the Heinz mayonaise article, there's an ad for McCain 2008. Does this mean anything?
