Great Idea

Great Idea, but wings for the plug could be a problem especially if cracked by pulling plug out by yanking on the cord vice pull ring

Air departure routines

With respect to the incident on hand, it was a regional weather system that was predicted and understood to have impact throughout the whole day.

I find it indefensible that the policy of this carrier and any other carrier, had not previously promulgated any plans such that the travelers could decide if they wished to travel, or change carriers, or take alternative methods.

I also find it curious that winter weather contingencies are predicatable and their isn't an emergency response plan. There is an emergency response plan for hijackings, air accidents, and lost baggage.

Canceling or delaying flights is part of the package, but passengers embarked or enroute, should have at their carriers plan possible accomodations, extra food, and extra visits of the sanitation trucks to the planes lavatories.

I understand that cost is a factor, but we shouldn't be treated as slaves embarked on a slave-ship for future arrival at a final destination.

Separation of Church and State

All voting is by secret ballot, and not directly or indirectly available to any other authority for any action for or against that individual.

While the church my advocate a position, it cannot perform or act any action to the prevent the exercise of civil right (voting).

Denial of sacramental participation, on the basis of a certain vote is a restraint or interference. In the both religious freedoms and civil freedoms.

Violation of these rights, has the full extent of the law to remedy; Loss of tax privilege, prosecution of invidual or groups for violation or civil action.

Separation of church and state is founding principle of our US constitution.

In this case the priest is asking for a certain vote to gain a certain privilege to participate in a religious activity. Their is an intrinsic tangible value of his action.

Will TSA screening be cause for a fascist dictator

It's been said that the trains in Italy never made time before Mussolini, and the Italian public was fed up.

I presume that eventually TSA security measures can only be corrected by a fascist dictator.

Humans, Nature, and Flooding

Having grown up in the Midwest and been acquainted with the two great rivers, Missouri, and Mississippi, I do not feel the Army Corp of Engineers, are wasteful, thoughtless, and given only to the economic interests of Transportation and Agriculture.

Flooding with the levees is more predictable, since in most years it is confined to the controlled flow of the river. Wing dams allow the river to be navigated in low water conditions. These elements of river control have been in practice for thousands of years since the Chinese bought elements of the Yellow river under control for agriculture and flood control.

The main risks of flooding are in areas where humans live, Yes this is a greater danger since the suburbs and near areas to major cities like St. Louis have expanded the development to the river's edge. In the Missouri bottoms area around St.Louis county have placed multi-million dollar stores in the areas of what was cornfields.

It is a legitimate question of who should be responsible for reducing the risk and who should bear the insurance risks. Unfortunately in our political process, we seldom migitate risk, and collectively assign the damages to everyone, even those who don't have anything to do with the river.

Returning the Missouri and Missisippi rivers to a natural state will never happen. I guess its appropriate to let occassionally some levees fail and flood vs the alternative of building dams and locks for flood control and navigation.

What if you are feeling well

If you are feeling well. would you ever to to these clinic's?

What if you didn't know you had borderline high blood pressure, would you go?

What if you hadn't had a tetanus shot in 10 years, would you go?

If were mildy depressed, moderarately overweight, a smoker would you go?

If you were a little bit anemic, had seen some blood in your stools would you go?

Irrespective of storefront clinics, providing acute relief for minor acute problems, without going to your family practice or internist, you will be short changing your health.

In the old days before modern medicine, there was plenty of cough medicine with morphine to treat the symptoms of TB

Original article: In the military we trust

Military dominance

In this current period of history, we have pursued a foreign policy that demands military action. This does not prevent the military from reprioritizing its own initatives and plans. The USAF still wants to replace F15 with F22 and beyond. In addition because or our initatives in Iraq it love to build a permanent USAF base in Iraq. Our liberal faction would love nothing better to end this situation.

I believe that the end of this crisis is a change in foreign policy, and not a change in cultural values. I agree with the author however, the military is ahead of our society in race relations, and will appeal to young men who want to find success in physical action and not educational success. This is becasue of a core value of our military, which is get the job done, get the mission done. So unless the mission or job of our military changes, it will contine to have the esteem of our general population and not our liberal population.

Finally, the Berkley City Council, CA, passing a general resolution on the USMC recruiter in their city as unwanted, and criminal in action, only increase the dismissal by the US public on liberal politics
