The reason they play metronomic electronica is because (a) it's metronomic to maintain a constant beat and cardio pace and (b) because it typically falls in the 120 - 140 bpm range. Much of rock is faster than that. And lots of other music is too slow. I for one welcome our techno overlords.
If you are deeply mired in credit card debt, I would suggest that you carefully reconsider any "advice" that Ms. Orman gives about the topic. She's a shill for financial institutions. Listen to her "advice" and see if it ever goes against credit card companies. You won't need many fingers to count the instances of when this happens. (zero?) Imagine that.
