Impeachment
[Read the article: Three more years of Bush, a plan for Cheney and the I-word, again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'd love nothing more than to see Bush impeached..........but.......who would be the next President if that were to happen? Can anyone even imagine Cheney as president?????????? How scary is that?
I suppose that if Cheney were president, his approval rating would be terrible which would make it easier for a Democrat to win the next election. Or, Cheney could be the evil dictator that we all know he wants to be and use his new power to crush his opponents.

Democrats?
[Read the article: Democrats ruining America's future]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Democrats are ruining our future?? You mean the party out of power? The party that controls nothing right now? Oh yes, it's the democrats ruining everything again! The sky is falling, the sky is falling! The democrats are coming! Run for your lives! BOO! I'm so scared now!
The port issue is bipartisan. Do you know what that word means? If our future is indeed ruined, the blame can be laid squarely and solely at the feet of the ruling party and that party is not the Democrats and hasn't been for years now. In what universe are you living?

Fools
[Read the article: What we lost]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is to Mr./Ms. "No Name given" who votes a "Straight Republican ticket" and thinks he/she is able to somehow "read and comprehend history" better than the rest of us poor saps. It's nice to know you feel so strongly that you don't want to reveal yourself. Very brave of you.
You have absolutely no idea what this country stands for.....what the constitution stands for.....or what the revolutionary war was fought for. YOU need to comprehend history. You, and all of your blind and ignorant Republican comrades need to learn from history so that maybe you all might stop repeating it over and over and over while waving your flag. You need to get past all of the propaganda buzz phrases. "it's here or it's there, it's us or it's them"---PLEASE! All you left out was "cut and run". It's not here or there, it's everywhere and growing and Bush's policies have helped it thrive.
You don't trust traitors? I always love it when it someone is labeled a traitor because they spoke their mind and beliefs. I'm sure you look yourself in the mirror, all smug and self-righteous and feeling so proud for telling us stupid "liberals" how it is, not even seeing the total fiction you live in. I'm constantly amazed at the depth and breadth of ignorance in some people. All I can say is go read the constitution. Go and read it and see what rights our soldiers are actually fighting for.

Iraq Distruction to Distract "Eye"?!
[Read the article: Rick Santorum and the "Eye of Mordor"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]OK, if I read that article correctly, Santorum thinks it's OK to distroy another country in order to distract the enemy away from us?! At least I now know the true purpose of the Iraq war. We've used another country as bait to draw in terrorists over there, not caring that the country is now in ruins and thousands have died so that we could try to be protected. I'm sure the Iraqi people are happy to give their lives and country to protect us from the terrorists evil "eye"!

Bush's lie
[Read the article: The GOP in 2008: As Allen convalesces, Gingrich unloads]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Everyone is going on about how the election would have been different if Bush had told the "truth" before the election that Rumsfeld would be dumped from his job. The problem is that he didn't lie BEFORE the election, he lied afterwards. To me, it's apparent that he had no intention of dumping Rumsfeld if the Republicans prevailed. If he had, there's no reason he would not have done it before the election. The lie he told about having decided before the election was simply to cover his ass and not look as if he was being driven by polls and election results. He wanted to look as if he made the decision on his own. He didn't. He lied about it. One more lie in a list of lies so long they are hard to count. No one should be surprised.

Blame coming soon
[Read the article: The "Iraq effect"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Here's my prediction: The increase in terrorism and future risk from terrorism are a direct result of Bush-Republican policies. IF a Democrat becomes the next president and ANY terrorism happens in this country after we've withdrawn from the Iraq war, the Republicans will place blame for the attack squarely on Democrats. It will be sickening to watch but it will happen.

Good article
[Read the article: Oprah's ugly secret]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thank you for a very enlightening article. I've became disillusioned with Oprah awhile ago, but her blatant self-promotion of the African school made me see her in a totally different way. I thought the school was a mostly self-less project until they started promoting that big special on it. It became clear then that the school was more about promoting Oprah than the school itself. There was no reason at all for the TV special except for self-promotion.
To the poster who said that The Secret does not blame victims: It does. When you tell people that it's their own thoughts and lives that have brought bad things to them, YOU ARE BLAMING THE VICTIM.
