War with Iran

And why shouldn't the NeoConservatives who cheerled America into Iraq be working dilligently to duplicate their accomplishment in ian?

In a world of no consequences (for them), the occupation of Iaq is a complete success:

1. They got their war.

2. They got their war.

3. They got their war.

Nothing else mattered. And not one of the neoCons has, or ever will, suffer any consequence for hte war: In fact they all have become rich(er) as a result.

And, what are their objectives now?

1. War with Iran

2. War with Iran

3. War with Iran.

President Bush, also someone who has never even heard the word "accountable" and his own name mentioned in the same sentence in his entire life, will almos certainly give another war to the NeoConsa as a farewell president.

Presidential candiate John McCain, who wants to be President in the worst way, will do exactly that by signing on to whatever the White house policy makers want, in return for uncoditional support from the Conservative media, led by FoxNews.

Once in office, President McCain will be freed from accountability for the (then) three failing wars/occupations and permitted to fumble along for several years with a "Stay the Course because it is so important" theme to carry him into a second term.

The NeoCons' solution to what will then be three disasters?

1. War with Syria

2. War with Syria

3. War with Syria

Until China decides to stop lending the US money and pulls the plug at a Treasury Bill auction. At which point the US will go the way of Zimbabwe.

Tightrope

John McCain does not have to walk any sort of tightrope at all.

With the ubiquitious free passes that the media have given him, even in the light of multiple contradictory and even wrong comments he has made, John McCain will not receive five minutes of scrutiny, from now until November.

Instead the media will further obsess over Barak Obama's mail carrier's politics and whether or not he is wearing a flag pin today.

VP

Speaking of VP's... Who will James Dobson and Rev. Hagee select for John McCain's VP? Any ideas?

Blame the Generals

The Bush Administration always takes the word of the commanders in the field. Unless they need an alibi.

Brain Scan

It apears that the Bush Administration's war against science has made it to Public Broadcasting. Another legacy of "The DEcider".

Mindset

What is obvious is that Conservatives just consider Democracy and Freedom of Expression to be just very inconvenient items. How soon do we start hearing from Conservatives methods of "solving" that problem?

Then again, we are seeing how they will "solve" the problem right now, aren't we?

My (mostly rhetorical) question is, "How did the Republican party, formerly the party of individual freedom, sign onto this philosophy that the government know better and Americans should only know what the government deems it necessary for them to know" philosophy.

Original article: Who's the superpower now?

Superpower

In the 1950's,60's and 70's, Americans were terrified of being conquered by an alliance of Russia and China, being subjectated by these powers under a Communist international system.

It appears this has, or very soon will, happen, except that we will substitute the word "Capitalist" for "Communist". I doubt very much that America will fare much better under either label.

Impunity

And, considering that the Mainstream media, with the likes of Chris Matthews leading the way, will turn back to analyzing every word of Rev. Wrhite by Wednesday of this week, the Bush Administration fully intends to get away with it again.

October Surprise

This story line about a terrorist "October Surprise" to "help" Barak Obama has two purposes:

1. To further attach the "Obama is a terrorist stooge/agent" story line.

2. To take any sting out of what is likel.y to be a string of bad news in the Fall as US troop levels drop in Iraq and the Civil war heats up again.

What is most frustrating is the fact that our spineless media reporters will pick up on this story line from the Radical Right and give it the imprint of truth by repeating it constantly, now through the November elections. Then in 2009 they will start reporting how they "were fooled, again".

"Company Men"

Re: Environmentalists have become "company men" to the Democratic party. What a shock that a Republican embraces a realistic program for reducing CO2... and the environmentalists attack him for it."

Are you comparing Environmental advocates to the Religious right? Excpet, of course, that the Religious Right, in return for unquestioning obedience when entering the voting booth, receive absoloute veto power over all Republican judicial nominations, as voiced through James Dobson (ask Harriet meyers, if you do not believe that one). Environmental advocates do not receive any eqquivalent level of power in the Democratic Party.

They (Environmentalists) just do not trust the word of a Republican Presidential candidate because they know that any environmental policy for a McCain Administration would still have to be approved by the Heritatge Foundation and the Cato Institute before it could become actual policy or be proposed as law. Which is why John McCain is tlaking about it on the stump, but not actually proposing it in the Senate.
