"Not-so-secret" weapon.

Actually the GOP's not-so-secret weapon is Tim Russert, Chris Mathews and the rest of the "independent" media who spend their days and nights shilling for the Republican Party by echoing White house/FoxNews talking points.

They obviously failed to live up to expectations in Louisiana, which means Tim and Chris will just have to pound on Hillary and Barak a lot harder in the future. All in the name of "even handedness", of course.

"Care for another sprinkle-covered donut, John?"

NYT groveling for hte Bush White House

After all their defference tothe Bush propoganda machine, the New York Times will still be denounced by theRight-Wing media as "Liberal Elitists".

Perhaps the Sultsberger family hopes that, by Foxifying themselves, Mr. Murdoch will not crush them anyway, now that he has NewsDay in his stable. Not a chance.

Original article: Fox News and the Democrats

Democratic candidates on FoxNews

It is a very smart move on the part of the Democrats to appear on Fox.

At least on Fox, when a loaded question is posed, the viewers know that it eminates from the GOP-controlled medial.

When such biased reporting comes from the "mainstream" media, voters tend to believe that the slanting of the news and questions isn't there. With the Foxification of the rest of the media, Demcorats actually will receive better treatment from Fox than the "Liberal" press.

We all know that John McCain will receive every free pass there is, regardless if the stenographer is from Fox or anyone else. There is at elast a miniscule chance that theFox reporters, in order to not make their corporate directives too obvious, will occasionally allow an answer from Hillary or Barak to go uninterrupted.

Consider:

Could Hillary Clinton receive any worse treatment from Bill O'Rielly that she receives on a nightly basis from Chris Matthews?

We know that Sean Hannity wrote the questions that were mouthed by "independent" George Stephanopolis in the last Democratic debate. Why not just let the viewers give him direct credit?

Taking on Fox

Nothing that Bill O'Rielly asked of Hillary was any less biased than the Sean Hannity-supplied questions that she faced during her last debate on "Liberal" ABC.

Original article: Quote of the day

She [Hillary Clinton] is hated on all the right fronts

Best of all, Chris Matthews can barely speak her name without frothing at the mouth.

When the world's most vapid pundit is driven to incoherent rage, that is a sure sign of substance on Senator Clinton's part.

Facts

Perhaps SenatorClinton just noticed who get elected and who does not. Republicans have campaigned out of a land of Fantasy since Ronald Reagan's "Laffer Curve", and have held the White House for five of the seven terms since then.

Why do our pundits demand seven decimal place precision and perfection from Democratic candidates while Republicans pass of whoppers on an almost daily basis without a word of comment?

Democrats have to propose a guaranteed successful plan for rextricating American from Bush's quagmire in Iraq. John McCain gets to say "stay the course" and it's off to the next media barbecue.

John McCain was the one who first proposed a gas tax holiday, putting the difference on our children's credit card. But all the pundits can talk about is how "Hillary's gas tax proposal" doesn't make sense.

"Everything but the War"

The Zell Millerization of Joe Lieberman is moving along apace. The White House can count on "Independent" Joe 100% of the time for anything upon which President Bush places the "National Security" stamp (which means everything).

Do not underestimate the level of hate that now exists on the part of Sentaor Lieberman against the Democratic Party that rejected him in 2006. It is all personal now. Joe owes his re-election solely to the support of the Republican Party over their own candidate in the 2006 election. There is no limit to the depth to which he will descend in taking out his revenge on his former party.

By the time the election rolls aound, "Independent Joe" will be on board with the GOP for social issues as well. I expect any day now to see a "pro-Life" conversion on Senator Joe's part.

Awareness

Of course more Republicans would know of Reid that Democrats. With the "loss" of Joe Lieberman, he is now the Democrat most helpful to the GOP right now.

Original article: Obama Veepstakes

Joe Biden

Senator Biden is smart and articulate. However he has made mistakes in his comments in the past, including racially insensitive ones.

The Mainstream Media, following the lead of the Right-wing media as usual, will pillory Joe for that.

Then again, the Mainstream media, totally lacking any imagination or spine of its own, will follow the lead of the Right-wing media in all its reporting anyway, so Joe might not be as much as problem as anyone else.
