you agree with Cheney that Bush should have pardoned Libby

Interesting question.

I do not, for one minute, believe that Scooter Libby deserves anything other than going to jail for revealing the name of a covert CIA agent.

However I would find it fun, had Mr. Libby been pardoned to watch as he was compelled to testify as to what went on in the plans to smear those who were not "on board" with Dick Cheney's schemes to build hysteria for an invasion of Iraq. Since a pardon would have meant that Mr. Libby would not be able to plead the Fifth Amendment to avoid testimony.

realistic?

Which, of course, is exactly what us evil Liberals have been saying, and research has reinforced, for years.

Of course this is not what James Dobson wants to hear, so we can count on FoxNews burying this interview very deep in its vaults.

In fact, I'm left wondering exactly why he refused to do this.

In my opinion it is exactly what I described in my post: to prevent Mr. Libby from ever being compelled to testify, under oath, as to how the Bush Team smeared America's way into war.

That fact George W. Bush betrayed a "friend" to do this likely had no effect on him whatsoever: his having been born devoid of a conscience.

better understanding

It's not understanding. It is the fact that she is not running for President and does not have to please the Religious Right.

Rooting for failure

Rush Limbaugh's minions in the GOP will just have to try harder to make President Obama's programs fail.

Perhaps if Repubilcans would talk more about impeachment it would help....

Which do you think most righties would take?

99.99% of all "Righties" are so angry: At the failure of their hero George W. Bush, at the rejection of their savior Sarah Palin, at the bungling of the initial TARP program by the Bush team, that they no longer think or behave reasonably. Righties now actively wish for America's downfall so that they can scream "we told you so".

The pain that Americans would suffer is completely irrevelant to these obsessed people. It shows in their posts, in their conversation and their depiction of those who are suffering.

Righties will not only root for failrure, they will take every action at their disposal, including active sabotage, to cause failure, regardless of the consequences.

Count on it. Righties now hate America.

Right vs Wrong

There's Right vs Wrong and Smart vs Stupid.

Soon-to-be-ex-Senator Burris is about to find out that the penalty for Stupid is a lot higher than the penalty for Wrong.

Not quite

Democrats were reluctant to support "The Surge" because they, along with everyone else, knew that the Surge was nothing more than a delaying tactic so that George W. Bush could run out the clock to Janaury 2009 and dump Iraq, along with a host of other problems, on someone else's lap. There was absolutely no plan beyond "the Surge".

That is still true. And the Conservatives who allowed the disaster in Iraq (and Afghanistan) to unfold will, of course, sit back and critique everything that happens from January 21 2009 onward with the line, "everything was just swell when George W. Bush left office".

And there is no one with sufficient spine in our mainstream media to point out otherwise. As Ms. Walsh demonstrated.

Shocked! Shocked!

That a member of the Bush Administration blatantly lied!

The only question now is, "What are we going to do about it?"

True believers

But all of the loyal Conservatives, 30% of America, believed every word coming from O'Rielly's mouth: As they do for the preaching from Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and James Dobson. Such is the control the Radical Right has on 1/3 of America.

McLeroy nonsense

The study of genetics IS the study of evolution. It's about time to require that creationists start to show documented, peer reviewed researcha and experiements that support their 6000-year-old universe.

Of cuorse if that were ever to happen, the religious right would immediately claim we were persecuting religion.

How long are we gong to permit religious fanatics to hold veto power over scientific methods?

The 9/11 tactic will work on 1/3 of Americans.

But then Republicans always obediently vote the way the party tells them, so the ads serve only to maintain 100% Party Loyalty.

Back to the old ways

I guess the radical right will have to go back to the "Slepian" method of preventing abortions. They can certainly count on a wink and a nod from the Republican Party to do it.

As always

among Conservatives, one anecdote is worth more than all the evidence in the world. The fact is the United States pays about twice as much for healthcare as every other industrialized nation, and has a life expectancy lower than almost every other.

Those are the facts. The rest is FoxNews spin.

Saturday, March 28, 2009 11:55 PM

Compared to what?

Printed "news" is no less vapid than Chris Mathews spending an hour talking about "shivers up his leg" regarding presidential candidates. No one on the natinal stage is presenting anything other than gossip and opinion any more. The degree of laziness is appaling.

Secret? Opportunity?

Pardon me, but on what planet has Robert Eshelman been residing?

American companies have been dumping American workers: either for cheaper Chinese or Indian labor, for decades now. They were doing it in good times and are doing it in bad times.

Those managing American companies will never stop until the day when no worker is their company, except for themselves, makes anything more than the lowest pay scale in the poorest country of the world, anywhere.

Anyone residing outside of a Trappist Monestary, or FoxNews, knows this: No one has made the slightest secret of it, anywhere, any time.

"We don't need no stinkin' evidence!"

Re: "And that's assuming there's even any evidence supporting his assertions, which he didn't provide."

Since when has lack of any evidence whatsoever been a deterrent to a solidly held belief by Conservatives? Ever?
