Support of Israel

"Some day I'd like to have a discussion with a rational Israel-supporter."

It is not a case of being a "Rational Israel Supporter".

It is a case where the Radical Rightwing of American politics have succeeded in equating support for the right of the state of Israel notonly to exist, but to take defensive actions against agression, with an unquestioned allegience with the NeoConservatrive political positions of the Republican Party in the US.

Any comment or questioning of the tactics used, either by the israeli government or the Bush Administration, is immediately painted by the Right-wing pundits of Foxnews or other outlets as undying anti-semitism and allegience with the most radical of Islamic fanatics.

And the mainstream media are either too lazy or too freightened to report such comments as such, and critics of those tactics have been too cowed by the accusations to sweep away those NeoConservative lies for the effluent they are.

Wright

The Right-wing media will put out a tape per week, from now until election day. While all of John McCain's contacts witht the Hagee's of America will get a 100% free pass, as always.

And the Mainstream media will be played by the Republicans right through President McCain's second term in office, at the end of which we will start hearing our reporters and pundits declaring, "How did the Republicans manage to fool and manipulate us, AGAIN?"

John McCain's real bid.

The purpose goes beyond the "Jewish vote". It has to do with "who is the toughest" candidate.

Of course the answer is "John McCain", since Hillary Clinton is a woman and Barak Obama refuses to wear an American flag pin in his lapel.

Unfortunately that is the story the right-win press is putting out and the rest of hte media will parrto. Right through President McCain's second term in 2016.

Karl Rove and the media

But Karl Rove "says" he's being objective. And when your media reporters wake up each morning, apparently having completely forgotten everything that has ever happened, or ever been said or written even two days ago, that is exactly what your should expect.

How else do you explain the White House getting away with declaring how 'great" things are going in Iraq because the level of violence is "only" as bad as it was in 2005, as though that was some sort of "period of tranquility".

When you have the memory span of a goldfish, then you can be played this way. And that is exactly how the Republican party is playing the media. Even as these same people ponder how the Bush Administration "played" them in 2003-2006.

We can look forward to the same whining from the press in 2015, as John MCCain's second term is winding down and the McCain White House is touting how the violence levels in Iraq are finally "back to 2013 levels".

And the media reporters will buy that one just as easily.

"Beat this story to death'

However this does assist the candidacy of John McCain by declaring what "failures" the Democrats are, which is apparently the agenda of all of our "independent" reporters.

"Can we offer you another donut, with sprinkels, John?"

Republicaqn attack ads

And, of course, the media will discuss this item ad nauseum, re-running it on an hourly basis: Thus giving the GOP $10 of air exposure for every $1 they actually spend.

Hate

Bill Kristol is right. Apparently reporters in the mainstream media consider it their God-given right to publicly express personal, venomous, visceral hatred of Hillary Clinton. Chris Mathews displays it on a daily basis.

Why is this hatred so acceptable?

Rev Wright and the NOI.

The key is whether or not the Rev Wright sees his interests as coinciding with those of Senator Obama.

Apparently they do not. In fact, a Republican President would be much more likely both to alienate the African-American community, and drive it deeper into poverty. Both of which would have the effect of increasing the Rev Wright's influence among his flock.

With that in mind, we can count on the Rev. Wright, for all practical matters, working hand-in-hand with Foxnews from now until November to guarantee a John McCain innaugeration in january 2009.

Wright

Every election cycle, the Republicans manage to entice someone who nominally is allied with the Democratic Party to publicly take actions that ensure a Republican victory.

These "Zell Millers' just love to do everything they can to hand the country over to the GOP, while claiming they are really "friends" of Demcorats.

This year the GOP appears to have two such individuals: Joe Lieberman and Rev Wright. If he wins in November, president-elect John McCain should give both these individuals front-row seats at one of the dozen or so Republican innaugeration prties. They will have earned them.

Oil

Unfofrtunately, these are facts. And our national reporters do not like reporting facts. So this story will be ignored.

It is much more "important" to report if Barak Obama is wearing a US Flag pin our Hillary Clinton is showing clevage.

Wright

Why aren't we talking about Rev. Hagee? He is at least as controvesial, but we are not debating his comments, and John McCain's fervent attachment to this preacher at all.

Oh yeah. I forgot. FoxNews is not pumping the "Rev. Hagee story" on a daily basis. And, as we all know, the entire US media takes its cues from whatever FoxNews is reporting on any given day.

So, another free pass for (future President) John McCain, while Barak Obama gets Swiftboated.

Original article: Obama "outraged" by Wright

Offended

It doesn't matter.

FoxNews will lead the mainstream media throgh this swamp fro now until election day.

Meanwhile John McCain's sucking up to Re. Hagee will, of course, be given the usual Republican Free pass. And not one single reporter will mention it. They will be mmuch too busy buying donuts for Saint John.
