Stop Confusing the radical Right Wing Corporatists With "Conservatism"

Then Conservatives should stop voting in 100% lockstep loyalty for the same Radical Right Wing Corporatists when they run for office.

As long as the NeoConservatives can count on the unquestioned obedience of "Conservatives", then they should be lumped together.

Only 87%

Considering that FoxNews does everything short of running a "Vote for John McCain!" banner across its screen 24 hours per day, I am most surprised that 13% of their viewers are NOT voting for John McCain.

Rupert Murdoch will just have to try harder.

Six months

Actually the sentence will be up after the November elections, but before George W. Bush is out of office.

Perhaps President Bush can have some more documents forged to extend Hamdan's stay until after he is "out of Dodge", leaving yet another issue to his successor.

Jurors

Re: "But I am ready to bet that those "jurors" will not be on the next case."

Those Jurors probably ended their military careers. You can bet the next time General Petraeus comes back to the US to review military promotions, their names will be dropped from the list.

Taliban money?

Re: "Does that include the entire Congress? Didn't they give the Taliban 45 million dollars 6 months before 9/11? The Taliban hepled Al Q and the Congress helped the Taliban. It sure seems like they are guilty of "providing material support for terrorism". Hang 'em high!"

Didn't a President have to sign that bill? Or does George W. Bush get the automatic Conservative Free pass on that one, again?

Maybe Bill IS the running mate!

Constitutionally a person who is not elligable to be elected President cannot be elected Vice President.

I will be a wonderful change to hear at least two (Barak Obama and Bill Clinton) eloquent speakers at the convention.

We will be treated to full subject-verb-object sentences.

A coherent thought will be expressed within each paragraph.

Words will be pronounced correctly (and I am not talking about accents here, since both George W. Bush and Bill Clinton have a slight "twang").

At the end of the speech we will know what the speaker's points were, and campaign aides will not have to fan out and tell everyone, "the candidate does not necessarily speak for the campaign".

It will be a delight.

Original article: Obama fatigue?

There is no surprise at this.

It is just the media tryuing their best to maintain their status as John McCain's Base by manufacturing whatever negative comments they can, then spreading them around.

We can expect these types of stories to be put out by the media at every opportunity through November.

Those McCain Family Barbecues must be grand parties and no reporter wants to risk losing an invitation.

Maverick

When John McCain has a 95% voting agreement record with the Bush Administration, how is it that Ginsberg uses the phrase "the FACT that he is a maverick". The FACT is that John McCain has been, and still is, a 95% clone of Geroge W. Bush.

If the Media would stop acting as John McCain's BASe, perhaps the race would not be so close. But then, they would not get to go to any more of those McCain Family Barbecues, would they?

The French

Americans hate it so much when the French act like Americans.

Original article: Abortion politics

Surprised?

Of course the Republicans will play the abortion card. Can anyone here recall an election where they have NOT played the abortion card? It would be like Republicans not smearing their opponents, or not introducing flag-burning amendments, or not impugning the patriotism of anyone not a Republican.

Republicans will play the abortion card to every Fundamentalist Christin in the coutnry, while simultaneously telling the Libertarians still in the Party (but we really don't mean it).

And the lapdog media will, of coure, let them get away with it.

Monday, August 11, 2008 01:52 PM

Surprised?

If the media spent even half as much time reporting John McCain's own words directed at his (current) wife as they do Barak Obama's former pastor, the race would be a runaway.

But that would mean an end of the invitations to McCain Family Barbecues. So, of course, the media will never report a single word of it.

At least not until the last year of John McCain's second term. When we will be treated to media stories of "how could we have been so fooled, AGAIN?"

Yes and No

Yes, of course John McCain will have different words to say in his closed door meetings with evangelicals, as hepromises them 100% of his domestic policies in return for their 100% loyalty. Just as George W. Bush did.

No, of course the media will not report it. That would mean actually doing research and interviews. It is much less work to just repeat Republican talking points: the media will be in full "Chris Matthews" mode by Labor Day.

Original article: Liberals spending unwisely

Unwise?

Unfortunately, I disagree.

Democrats must spend money in the South for registration of African Americans, just to keep even with current numbers.

Or have you forgotten Republican initiatives, backed by the Bush Administration, to purge the voter rolls of anyone who might even remotely pass for African American on one of Karl Rove's voter databases?

It may not sound necessary, but only if you are willing to believe that the Bush Administration will not do in 2008 exactly what Republicans have been doing since Trent Lott switched parties.

The Jurors...

In the world of George W.Bush, the Jurors have probably ended their military careers. We can count on the next round of promotions to explicitly leave these individuals out, as a message to any potential future jurors who have aspirations of continuing a career in the military.
