One of the clues to an insincere expediant apology is when the person caught with his hand in the cookie jar says:" I am sorry that I made some bad decisions" as opposed to saying " I did some bad things". Watching "American Idol" is a bad decision; killing puppies with your bare hands is quite another matter.

  • Kindle Vs Sony

If you are a reader it is the functionality that counts not ,within reason, the superficial appearance. The Kindle will replace my PDA (utilizing ereader) that I have been reading books on for years. I lose color and backlighting and but gain CONNECTIVITY.I won't need a computer connection, can buy content while sitting in a park, bestsellers are cheaper than print books (and from books at Sony)I can listen to MP3's and my Audible books--sign me up.This more than compensates for the cost differential between the Kindle and the Sony

  • More than one use.

I have had mine for about 6 days and have used it to check the web for email, weather, stocks and news. Not an ideal browser but for free use in the park just fine.

  • ebook

I am old enough to remember how annoying page turning seemed to me after getting used to just scrolling the scrolls. I got used to the page technology and now, even though page turning is much noisier,I appreciate not having to keep my books in an ark.

I experienced a similar transition when I adopted ebooks for some of my reading.Yes,the click is ,at first, a mild distraction but then so was page turning. I love reading and also use audiobooks and paper books depending on the subject matter,my location and my activity (sitting, walking or riding the subway). To a reader each medium has its place in life.
