Alaska has a bit over 600,000 residents and Chicago(the city) only has aboout 2 million plus. So there really isn't much of a comparison. But to leave a small town in Alaska with a 20 million dollar debt doesn't seem to me to be the sign of a conservative.

That is the only reason he picked Sarah from nowhere Alaska to run with him after one meeting. It was a slap in the face to Romney and others who would have been able to step in in a heart beat. The fact that his campaign isn't going to let reporters talk to her shows they are afraid of her lack of knowledge coming through. She is NOT the reformer or anti-earmark person that he told us she was. He is sorely misled the entire way. McCain needs to quietly retire and go clear some bush on one of his Arizona homes and leave the government to those younger with fresh ideas. Our government is now made up of so many older leaders who have run out of ideas. Get out of the way McCain.

because of Sarah Palin was not and never was a Hillary supporter. The Republican's pick is anti-everything that Senator Clinton is for and has been for. McCain and Rove think that all women are the same and so they offer us this woman thinking we are stupid. Although Senator Clinton is not going to be President for a while I fully expect that she will be in 8 years. She will continue to provide the country with great leadership and ideas in the hard years to come and will work with President Obama to make his dreams for a better USA come true to all and not just to oil companies and Halliburten!

I for one, immediately think there is something smelly in Denmark( Its near Alaska right???) If she honestly didn't do anything wrong then just go get the thing over with and then no one can use it against you again. Once again it is the covering up that is worse than the crime itself if there is one. So, why did her husband get copies of emails regarding state business emailed to him and why does he sit in on government meetings? Did she hire him to be her chief of staff?? I am thinking that maybe the husband was running things and she was there to put a pretty face on it all. I have seen far too many public officials put their noses into things that don't pertain to them like getting this trooper fired. If as the reports say he was disiplined then drop it, the divorce is over and it is done with.

I can't listen to another word out of her mouth..no more..not going to do it...you can't make me! They taught her what to say and how to spin and that is it. I couldn't listen to Hannity read the phone book as he would probably distort the names and addresses. I refuse to even say her name...she is now "that woman" in my house and my 12 year old niece is wearing Obama tee shirts and buttons and wants to start making posters. See, even children know what is true!

He is so old and can't be trusted to do anything. If anyone was paying attention to what he said last night about the negative tone of the election. He said it wouldn't have been that way IF Obama had agreed to all those townhall meetings. That meant that since Obama didn't want to do that, then he had the RIGHT to go slime and negative...it is all Obama's fault for bringing this upon himself!! How disrespectful and dishonest can one person become?

To even think that we have the troops to go after Russia if they respond when Georgia goes after the breakaway areas is fool hardy. If we don't have any troops to send to Afghanistan to help our troops there since the fighting there has increased where the hell are we finding the extra troops to send to Russia? I heard McCain last night talk about increasing the number of troops in our military but that takes time and money and we have neither. AND it takes a great deal more conning of our young men and women to sign up to go get killed unless he wants to find a way to do the draft again. I think there will be a HUGE outcry if he goes that route. Even though I served in the US Army for 8 years at the end of the old and the beginning of the "all new volunteer Army" I wouldn't like to see the draft again. I have nephews who are in 2nd and 3rd grade and with McCain they are certain to be sent to one of he and Sarah's wars in 8-9 years.

Many years ago I met him at a wedding in Westport. He was kind and quite friendly to a fan! I have always been impressed with his marraige to Joanne for so many years and his famous comment about why go out for hamburger when you have steak at home. He will be missed by all of his fans. My sympathy goes to his family and friends.

She didn't build a pipeline for natural gas..it is years from being built and I read that it was a Canadian company that is hoping to develop it.
