@Karenn22 ...ummm...no...

There used to be this notion of momentum, where in a candidate achieved a lead that was determined to be insurmountable and and other candidates ran out of money, and went home.

Unfortunatly, this time an independantly wealthy candidate decided that running out of money, and having an insurmountable lag in delegates was not reason enough to accept defeat.

The bottom line is, the Senator Clinton doesn't really care about any notion of rule of fair play, she just wants to win. That's fair, I am certain she believes that she and she alone can lead the nation in the right direction.

Her arguments are muddled and contradictory, but that's o.k. because at the end of the day she only hurst herself.

Pelosi and Reid can't force the super delegates to make their feelings known, but many will, and will do so next week simply because it is impractical to let this contest run until august and leave it to a floor fight.

Senator Clinton can still do so, at her own cost, but in the end the outcome will be known by all going in, and will beg the quesiton why is this woman doing this?

The one exception in all this is if there really is a Clinton favored split among the super delegates.

The bottom line is no matter how you slice it, Senator Clinton is behind in Delegates by a large margin, and unless the super delegates come out large and powerfully in her favor Senator Obama will be the nominee, and if defeating Senator McCain is a priority for the party, building unity quickly is important.

Hillary Clinton is not a Troll

And that fact puts me at ease in this whole mess.

In six days, Senator Clinton will accept the outcome of the decision by the Rules committtee, and the super delegates, and if she is behind will accept that and begin her campaigning for Barak Obama.

Of course we'll lose some of our best friends here on the board as they create new identities to continue to deride Senator Obama in favor of John McCain, but it's a small price to pay.

Six days and it's over, really truly over, except for the general election of course...I can't wait. =o)

So long to the dixiecrats...

It was a rough go when they left, and a great deal of democrats felt that they had lost their power structure and doomed their party forever.

As luck would have it, that's not the way the story unfolded. It won't unfold that way again. There are those mentally ill individuals who cling to their hatred of a man against all intelegence, and they will run away from a party that dared nominate a black man by popular vote.

The rest of the world will go on. As will the party, as will America. God Bless her.

healthy skeptic

Yeah, the books can be tedious...honestly though not so much as LOTR, but that's a matter of opinion.

As with just about anything you read you get from it that which you seek from it.

What I always liked about Narnia was less the books but the open ended notion of it. That the world existed outside of the notions of the characters from our world. A Horse and his Boy was always my favorite.

But that's a matter of opinion and the problem with literary criticism in general. You kind of have to read it and make your own decision aout it.

More people have voted against Hillary Clinton than any Candidate in History...

Given that more people have voted against Hillary Clinton than any other candidate in American History, could one of her supporters explain to me why she's the stronger candidate?

I mean, I know we don't use a popular vote to determine the nominee, but certainly it's hard to argue that someone who has had more votes cast against her than any candidate in history is the popular choice of the people.

I'm just saying is all.

Math...

Well, Senator Clinton insists on counting the votes in Michigan, which as we all know since there were no techincal votes for Obama, allows her to "claim" a popular vote supremecy.

However, if you take the contrary position, all of those votes that weren't for Obama were definatly against Clinton.

Combined with all the other votes against Clinton in every other contest (which is why she is losing the popular vote if you don't count Michigan) Hillary has had move votes against her than any other candidate.

See, you can disingenuous, like Clinton, but then you should accept the negative consequences of your argument.

Hillary Clinton is not a viable candidate at this stage. She thinks she is, but reality has a nasty way of knocking you on your ass when people who aren't sheep start crunching the numbers.

So there you go. Senator Clinton is losing and has lost by every conceivable metric. Now maybe Peurto Rico will put her over the top...or maybe her appeals to hard working whites will fall on deaf ears on that brown island. Regardless at this time, more people have voted against her than any other candidate in American history.

Sorry.
