The absolute worst thing Hillary Clinton could do to Barak Obama

Is declare that she is no longer in the race.

If she drops out, before Puerto Rico, saying, sadly that drum beat was just too much to bare.

This marks the division and keeps the wound open and festering into November.

So, please Senator Clinton, don't go, hang out, have a drink(I'm a Jim Beam man myself) I'll buy.

When the final votes come in, there isn't a great deal of question as to how they will fall or who they will favor, so let us all trust that the world hasn't gone mad, and just smile darn ya, smile.

Let's all just, in the words of Bill and Ted, be excellent to one another, and party on, dudes.

@LT Bohica not the best example

Yes, Ted Kennedy took the fight to the convention floor, and lost to Carter...and how did Carter do in the general?

Oh yes, that's when we met Regan, who himself had a fight on the convention floor with a fellow named Ford four years before...hmm, I can't remember how that one played out either.

Of course, in Both Carter's and Ford's case there were greater factors at play than a simple floor fight...but the argument is it sure didn't help.

I don't think Hillary wants a floor fight, she's just not that self destructive.

Remember what I said about open festering wounds...well they cut both ways...which I know is a mixed metaphore...but you get the picture.

And the show must go on, and on it shall.

I say, if there is a floor fight it ends with a long lingering glance between Hillary and Barak, the music swells, and then that perfect Hollywood kiss.

and scene!

@LT Bohica - Yes, Senator Clinton has the Right

Not to mention the might to take this to a floor fight.

She also has the ability dance the hula on a red white and blue hippo. The question one asks is what is her advantage in doing so?

So, let us say, that Hillary Clinton and her 2200 delegates stand up to Barak Obama's 2210 (or what ever numbers you choose). What is accomplished?

Well, firstly we get a great deal of bad blood stirred up among some folks out there when their candidate doesn't win.

If this leads to a lack of energization of those supporters towards the eventual nominee, which leads to a John McCain finish what is the outcome?

Does Senator Clinton hold onto her Senate Seat when that Bad Blood is spilt across the Democratic Urban strong holds of New York City that got her elected to the Senate in the first place?

People say a great deal about Senator Clinton, but one thing I truly believe about her is that she is an intelegent woman and a shrewd politician who truly deeply cares about the issues facing the Democratic Party and the American People. She might feel that there is merit to her own career in staying in, but it's hard to imagine a benefit to herself or her supporters being labled a spoiler by half of the Democratic Party.

I don't think Hillary's going to go to fight unless she feels good about her prospects. It is very hard to argue that she really does feel good about those prospects given her loss in all available metrics to date.

So yes, she can fight, but will she? It's unlikely.

She may be a great deal of things, but stupid ain't one of 'em.

mte - what ideas is the mouse guarding?

What ideas does Disney keep all to itself?

Mouse, duck, and semi-human dog characters are prolific in numerous guieses.

People, like Mr. Bolling produce their own interpretations of Hercules, Pinochio, Snow White, and the mouse, without consequence, they just asked not to tred too closely on the creations of others.

You know, sort of how I can't rerecord Behtoven's 9th symphony and tell people about this great symphony I just made up all by myself.

If you can't come up with your own ideas, maybe you need to find a new profession.

Marvel doesn't own Thor, but they do own Don Blake. That which they create is their's, that which they do not is the public's.

Disney doens't own cartoon mice, but they do own one. As such even though it was a clear rip off of other works that came before it, Maus is still allowable.

What's the argument?

@LT Bohica - You are correct

As I've said before, it is imperetive that Senator Clinton continue on through Peurto Rico.

After Peurto Rico, but before the convention floor, I am certain that declarations of super delegates will go forth to avoid the sort of fight that I described.

I think it is unlikely that Senator Clinton will try to sway that vote that is likely to go against her after the declarations are made, and I doubt that the powers that be will allow those who have not yet declared to remain silent after Peurto Rico.

Remember, because Senator Obama is significantly ahead in the delegate count, his requirements to attain the magic number (which will be finnally decided before Peurto Rico) will be much less than it is for Senator Clinton. As such he need not convince all the unpledged delegates (nor even I believe a majority) to put him over the top.

At that point, once the number is reached, after Peurto Rico, what will Senator Clinton do.

Does she fight? I don't think so, it's just not a fight she can win, and I don't think she wants to lose in a floor fight, becaus really, what would be her advantage in doing so?
