Oh, it was funny...

Like all good burlesque, it takes the words or image of a popular character and blows it up to enormous proportions.

It is, in that sense as much a jab at Clinton's detractors as it is at Clinton herself.

It jabs at Clinton herself in that she has left herself open to such criticism.

But more importantly it jabs at Clinton's detractors through their wish fullfillment fantasy of the Senator.

I would wager, some time in December, the Secret Musilim Obama jokes will start at SNL. If they are daring they may do them before he actually wins, but I wager they'll wait till December to mine that particular field.

Since such wish fullfillment Satire is unlikely to truly effect Senator Clinton's overall chances, they probably felt it was safe and topical to explore this particular Burlesque.

yawn...

Senator Clinton once again makes her case for her corination against the popular will of the people, since her people are the people that matter.

Thank goodness that the rest of the world does not suffer from the delusions that Senator Clinton and her disturbed supporters on this board suffer.

I'm looking forward to Peurto Rico, I wonder how her "ace in the hole" will react to the Senator's recent tenor.

Poor Senator Clinton, she's painted herself into such a corner, if does steal the nomination, her defeat will be so overwhelming, as to rehabilitate Mike Dukakis.

If McCain wasn't the alternative it would almost be enjoyable political Theater.

It's hard to read the Junior Senator from New York

Sure she's making "nice" (at least for her) for the moment. And I really don't think she'll take it to the Convention Floor (primarily for her own self preservation).

But still...sometimes you listen to this woman, and you actually start to think she might actually believe the faulderall coming out of her mouth.

Just a few more weeks and the real campaign starts. Thank goodness the Democratic base (which is made up primarily of city dwellers, minorities, and the educated) is still intact, which will allow Senator Obama to tie up this election with relative ease.

Obama has coat-tails

There you go, not only is he more electable he can help down ticket.

I think the republicans might be learning a valuable lesson here. The politics of race and fear are over except for the few nuts who cling to it out of bitterness. They are in the minority.

Moving forward, the future looks bright.

@The Notorious W.E.S.

It is evident now, that if we give Hillary Clinton the nomination we are conceeding every state except West Virginia.

Get a clue W.E.S. Obama has the larger base to start from and the shorter bridge to build to bring in a winning coallition.

Senator Clinton has painted herself into such a poor white corner she'll be lucky to win her Senate Seat once it's all over.

How does this story end? Very Simple, Hillary and Bill Clinton campaign for Barak Obama in West Virginia, and after his election he Campaigns for them in New York City.

Without Senator Obama's blessing, Senator Clinton's Career ends in June.

@The Notorious W.E.S.

Umm...W.E.S. Senator Clinton has burning bridges like they were made out of crosses in her rush to the bottom strategy.

Senator Clinton will not win New York, California, Florida, or Ohio. She's married herself to poor uneducated whites, and told the entire base of the Democratic Party to soak their heads.

Do you really think Senator Clinton still has the support of hispanics, after all shes done in these last few weeks? They too were excluded from her race baiting campaigning in West Virginia.

I'd rather roll the dice with Senator Obama, then conceed defeat at the outset with an unwinable strategy of alienation and self destruction, as has been Clinton's plan.

@tarajane

Would you take Gov. Sebalius instead?

Only because I really don't think Senator Clinton will take the V.P. spot, for fear of ending up like Hubert Humphrey, unlikely for a woman of her stature, but still possible.

I fully expect as part of best friends forever tour '08, a very detailed story on how Senator Obama offered the position to Senator Clinton and she graciously declined, so that she can dedicate mroe time to her constituants in New York, or some such.

100 points?

I suppose you mean that in each state Barak Obama may lose the primary by a percentage of votes, which when the gross percentage totals are added together might add to to 100.

I'm sure by now, between all 32 contests Senator Clinton has lost, she has lost by "100 points" as you put it.

Really, Senator Clinton supporters, don't use Math, it's not your strong suit (or Senator Clintons). You can keep on pushing the idea of electability, but you're going to have to show how a collation of one group (older working class whites who traditionally vote Republican) is a base that can be grown to win this election.

This election will be determined by an energized on the ground electorate coordinated and moved to the polls by a charismatic leader and his machine.

Since Senator Clinton has spent the last few months informing this energized electorate that their votes don't matter, how does Senator Clinton's coallition of the one group who still likes her win in November?

Democrats will still vote, but without the ground game (which Obama has and Clinton does not) the party will lose at the top and down ticket.
