" .. it seems that the Right has forgotten 99.9% of what is in the bible ... sorry to get on a rant .. but it is so much BS that those on the left are anti-religious ... we aren't ... we just don't make a public spectacle about our beliefs like the Right does .... Hell ... Jesus even talked about that too ,,, basically saying that the true believers don't go around making a show of it in public .. that it is obscene for one to go spouting off about religion in public like a lot of Republicans do

I don't know where he gets his sources and info .. but he has a list of Republican congresscritters who have supposedly hid things better than Larry Craig has.

From Vitter abd Craig .. to Teddy Kennedy .. we could go on all day about the moral fallings of those in DC ... it would not come as a shock to me at all .. after all .. a lot of them seem to vote how their campaign donors want .. not necessarily what is best for the country

They don't have facts to back them up, so they attack the messenger. Why do you think some of us think it is so important that Al Gore run in '08? Even the media has admitted they f-cked him over, just like they f-cked over Howard Dean. We need to take this country back from the neo-con's and other fascist and anti-democratic thugs out there.

The traditional media doesn't have the balls to ask why Petraeus is only going on partisan media outlets(Hewitt and Faux Noise). I saw 2 minutes of Glenn Beck tonight. He is blowing a gasket over the Moveon.org ad. The war supporters don't have the facts on their side. At this point, all we can do is keep up the pressure. It hasn't gotten to the point of taking Thomas Jefferson up on his word(or was it James Madison). Our elected officials in DC better wake up to the fact that they represent us. If not, the day will soon come where we'll have enough money to start primarying wayward Reps and Senators.

If Petraeus is objectively and provably full of shit, then the press should say so, directly, and the context of his history as an apologist for the Administration is absolutely relevant to that examination.
I'm surprised that Greenwald would say anything like this unless it was thoughtlessly.

You believe everything you hear in the traditional media? Have you seen the documentation Glenn and others like Atrios have made in regards the media and their complicit behavior with Bush? Their build up to this hearing, and letting Bush kick the can further down the road?

That is what they do. It must be in the water down there. Maybe Glenn can tell us more about it. What he's learned from being on programs like C-Span and the like. It's obviously a disease that is fatal to our democracy. Is David Brooks that rich(like Little Tommy Friedman)? I don't know, but I am sure some of it can be traced to the fact that most Beltway pundits are very well off. They forget where they came from(those who might have grown up poor). I don't know the rest of the causes.
