You are a great writer. I was laughing so hard at your descriptions, I almost couldn't finish reading the article. Thompson is very lucky to have you as a mama. Thank you so much for such an interesting and funny article. I hope to see me stories from you.

  • Dogs and Cats

[Read the article: An Olympic disgrace]

That has to be the most disgraceful thing I have ever heard of. I am sure their views on human life can not be much different. I think we should have a ban on China being able to hold any Olympics whatsoever. I would not go if I had the money and I am sure there are alot of Americans that feel the same way. You might say it is only a cat or only a dog, but they are a part of many families. They are considered a family member, in fact, and are treated with high regard and respect. Just the cruel way in which they are slaughtered is way worse than we do our cattle for consumption. If that is part of their regular diet, then they need better ways to end their little lives than bashing them or skinning them alive. I am so outraged I am sitting here a little dazed and don't know what else to say, but ban the Chinese from Olympics. Just terrible!

  • Masculinity By Birth Right?

[Read the article: Recovering a sense of masculinity]

That is just craziness. Maybe on a personal level some men are living by women's rules. But in the business world, women are still being held back. This is a man's world and if on a personal level a few men are held accountable to their women, then we have a little equality happening. I doubt seriously that any man is being overtaxed in anyway by women's rules. Women multi-task everyday and in most every way. Why is it even being segregated into men's rules and women's rules? The aggressor no matter what the sex has the say so. I would like to know specifically what the women's rules are that is being complained about. Is it we that women no longer want to tolerate the cheating man, that we expect help with the raising of the children, that we are working full-time also and want help with housework? Give me a break! It sounds like to me this person wants a free pass into knighthood. Being a knight in shining armor came at a price and had to be fought for. It was not a birth right.

  • What A Shame

[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It still boggles my mind that people today still categorize men, women, black, white etc. Hillary Clinton is a very intelligent and business oriented person. We already know this by the reports we received when Mr. Clinton was in office. She had her hands in most everything to do with the president of this country. Obama is good with words - no doubt about it. But I just don't believe that words are enough. Actions always speak louder than words. Mrs. Clinton already has a proven track record. Obama does not. It should not boil down to all this nonsense about sex or race. It should be about the facts.

  • Thrisis?

[Read the article: OMG, I'm totally having a thrisis!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Sounds worse than it is. I was juggling kids, working full time and was divorced in my 30's. It was the most enjoyable time of my life. It was also the time I felt like I looked my best and was the most attractive to the male persuasion. Now that I'm in my 40's (getting pretty darn close to 50), the 30's seemed really carefree and fun. Yes, I had to rob from Peter to pay Paul, but I made it through it all with flying colors. I was wrapped up mostly in my kids and their sports activities and would have liked to find a single dad at the ballpark. Didn't happen. Most of the parents were all still married to their respective mates and the single ones were just not my type. But I had plenty of male friends that I enjoyed talking to. Your 30's should be a time of enjoyment. You just have to learn to slow down a bit and enjoy what you have in hand. Quit rushing through life expecting life to grab you when it's time to watch something wonderful. YOU have to slow down and quit rushing yourself. As I have gotten older, I am glad I had that foresight and enjoyed life as it happened. Try it - you'll like it.

  • You Go Girl!

[Read the article: My last word (for now) on sexism]

Mrs. Clinton, I'm sure, knew going in that her sex was going to be an issue. She IS one tough B*#@!. In the large scheme of things, that's not too much bad publicity. Nothing she can't handle anyway. If America wants to be wooed by words rather than the proven actions of Hillary Clinton, then they deserve what they get - an empty bag of air. So what if she sheds a tear or two. Who gives a big rat's ass. Dig up something dirty on her if you dare. You won't find anything - except she's female and she has compassions and feelings just like the majority of all humans do - MEN and women alike. You go girl and keep your head held high.
