He Waited Too Long IMO

I think Edwards played his hand wrong. He waited too long and now his endorsement just doesn't mean that much. What is he going to deliver? NC, where Obama blew out Clinton by 15 points? Sorry, but it doesn't mean that much now. OTOH, it's good to have Edwards campaigning for Obama. Hopefully, Elizabeth Edwards will campaign for him too. I loved watching her on the Hill last week. She's a compelling figure.

The Subtext to these Pictures...

is sexual and highly, highly inappropriate. They look like little prostitutes...or baby glamor pageant contestants. Sad.

First, little girls should not be wearing obvious makeup. Nor should they be wearing HEELS?!! Perhaps if Beyonce starts having babies with Jay-Z, she will learn from her pediatrician how terribly important proper fitting and appropriate shoes are for developing feet.

This ad is so bad it could be a joke and bad one at that.

1) I didn't realize that Hillary HAD the nomination. One has to have sometihng to have it stolen from them, correct?

2) I also take it you are not a fan of democracy, eh? The will of the voters and all that. You do see how absurd you sound when you attack the democratic process because you don't like the result.

Nice Edwards Speech

Edwards spoke glowingly about Hillary Clinton in case anyone is watching his endorsement on TV. The crowd is clearly totally pro-Obama but Edwards is really praising Clinton for her experience, character and dedication to helping people.

@ncawley

You are now ranting. Must you use all caps?!!

I am voting for Obama because of his character:

1) He could have cleaned up in corporate but instead chose to stay in community organizing.

2) He has a reflective nature that is capable of questioning and criticizng himself. Read his book Dreams of My father.

3) He is a family man and that matters to me. maybe not to you. I personally am repulsed and don't understand the Clinton dysfunction they call family.

I am voting for Obama because of his experience:

1) He has logged more time in state legislature than Hillary has in the Senate. He knows how politics works or rather, doesn't work. He also has a strong track record in the Senate for working for ethics legislation and environmental issues.

2) He has a style of leadership that doesn't mow down the opposition with bluster and hot air. What a unique quality in a politician!

3) He has shown remarkable forsight and leadership in speaking out against the Iraq War. That alone prompted me to consider him before Clinton.

Most of all though, I am voting for Obama because he represents a big change from both the Bush and Clinton years. Bush, of course, has been a failure. Clinton let me down with his scandals that distracted from issues, unambitious platform and personal failings. Not going for it again and I'm clearly not alone.

@Shawn

You can always be counted on to name-call. What exactly fuels your venom anyway? Not a fan of the democratic process where people vote for a candidate? Should we all just sit back and let others decide for us?

NARAL, of course, had every right to endorse Obama and they did it at the time of their choosing. Some people here are obviously confused. This is an election people. Someone has to win, someone has to lose. High-profile groups, like NARAL, and individuals, like Edwards, will make their preferences known at some point. It could have been a month ago. They could have waited until June 3rd. Bottom line is they didn't and there's nothing much more to be said than that. If NARAL had come out in support or Hillary months ago I have a feeling we wouldn't be hearing the angry chorus against them taking sides in the primary, would we?

@sajwan

It's been stated before, but a high-ranking member of NARAL endorsed Obama months ago. That's "cheap?"

I am really tired of the women must vote in lock-step gambit. No we don't. We don't have to support any candidate just because of gender. Neither do pro-choice groups. Hillary obviously didn't win over the leadership of this group and it's shown itself in this early declaration for Obama. I don't know how "early" it really is given the electoral math, but it is before a nominee has been declared.

That said, since when is democracy the right to vote as others tell you to vote? I'm disgusted by the attacks on any groups or indiviuals that dare to jump to Obama before Hillary has finally called it quits. just because she doesn't know when to leave the stage, doesn't mean others have to wait for her. She's not Queen Elizabeth.

@Bob

I think you're right. There seems to be a preponderence of Republican trolls here. Nothing else explains the rage at NARAL for supporting the candidate that will essentially BE the Dem nominee.

Obama Campaign Hits Back Fast

Good job! Bush and his cronies will be out the door soon. Obama just needs to keep reminding people that the Bush administration has resulted in a less secure America with its series of failed policies.
