  • Ignore Clinton

[Read the article: Clinton makes another electability argument]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I wonder if this will actually work but it's worth giving it a try. The media needs to really cut Hillary off from the publicity machine as long as she goes on like this. It won't happen though because everyone likes a good trainwreck every now and again.

  • Thank You

Thank you for sharing your story. I can't imagine anything more painful than losing your child but you made something very beautiful and hopeful out of it. Bless you and your family.

  • A Difficult Topic

[Read the article: Are men victims of forced abortions?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

While I believe that forced abortions are a violation of basic civil rights for both men and women, I have no problem with China's one child policy. The bottom line is that this nation has far to many people and cannot really sustain the population. Most nations on this earth should be advocating one child policies. I laud the Chinese government for their policy. However, what occurs to enfore the policy is basically torture. The Chinese government should make having only one child very attractive using incentives, tax breaks, rewards.

  • Losing One's Bearings

[Read the article: McCain defends comments about Hamas, Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yes, that's McCain and the Right Wing of the GOP. If McCain wants to slime Obama with Hamas-sympathizer label, he'll get it back in spades. The Right-wing has proven itself entirely devoid of any new, original or even effective ideas. Of ocurse they will want to attack ANYONE who dares to propose any course of action that might produce a positive result. Far better to name-call and smear.

Procreation and pregnancy are not parenting. Men have rights as parents once a baby is born. That's fair since they share no burden in caring for a fetus. Women do and that's just how nature devised it. I think it's basically inappropriate to equate elective abortion with forced abortion. One is a woman's the right to control procreation. The other is a forced procedure endured by the woman disproportionately.

  • Financial Mismanagement

[Read the article: Clinton faces deadline for loan repayment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I would now love to know why anyone truly believes that Hillary Clinton is a competent manager. She has driven her campaign into a debt for more than $20 million. This is good fiscal policy?

And no, Obama should not help out Hillary unless there's some fair turnaround. She doesn't get to race-bait and fear-monger and get help with her bills.

  • Dead-on and Funny

I loved this monologue. Amy Poehler has great comedic timing and while the portayal was over-the-top, it was close enough to the truth to sting a little.

Just a question: How much have YOU contributed to Clinton's campaign? How many of your friends and family have you pushed to volunteer or contribute? That's the real problem. Clinton's own supporters can't be bothered to help her campaign continue. Obama meanwhile, he's rolling in it. Big difference. I guess his supporters just care about his campaign more. I guess that also explains his delegate lead as well.

As for Obama paying Billary's bills, the system doesn't work that way, thank goodness!

Hey, if Nader can screw us again this way, let's share the pain with the GOP! Go Barr!

  • Ugly, Inappropriate Dress

[Read the article: Should this dress be illegal?]

Someone should have told this girl she was dressed inappropriately. Mom, where are you?

Yes, the prom is a school sanctioned activity so school rules apply. If this girl wanted, she could have just invited her friends over to her own home and partied down. Instead she tried to foist her attitude and horrendous sense of style on the school staff. They kicked her out and refused a refund since SHE violated rules. When she kicked up a fuss, they called cops. Good for the school.

  • That's Fine

[Read the article: McAuliffe: "We are in through June 3"]

Hillary can carry herself and her campaign with purpose and decency. Will she? More importantly, who will pay these bills?

Do you have an issue with democracy? It's sounds like it. The fact is that this system, as imperfect as it is, is the one we have now. If Hillary had any legitimate beef with the process, she would have brought it up BEFORE she started losing. The fact that Clinton or her team or her husband didn't "get" how to win under these electoral rules is a staggering statement about her leadership.

    you wrote:

"That they called the police to deal with her says to me that she not only got noisy and disruptive but that she has a history of being noisy and disruptive, which is why they weren't inclined to cut her a break. I have no evidence for this opinion, but it's what the situation feels like to me."

You could be right. In fact, I bet you're right. However, it also sounds like this girl was baiting the school officials to call her out in public. They did and she got arrested. Personally, I think students with a history of dispruptive behavior should lose out on special opportunities. If that's her history, the school should have never let her buy a ticket.
