Another Reason Not To Vote For Hillary

This is a horrible choice. I randomly selected five CD's from my collection and was able to pick a better song from each of them.

Desert Son

All you have in your refrigerator is a jar of mayonaisse, a bottle of ketchup and some relish. For dinner you should have a bowl of thousand island dressing and finish off that Vodka you have in the freezer.

I'm 14 Pages Into This Thread And...

I think Healthy Skeptic is a twatwaffle. The left fringe won't deter moderates but boring the crap out of them sure as hell will. Skeptic, get over yourself. I'm going to fast forward through the rest of the comments because of you. If I miss one of Bepop-O's posts I'm going to be really pissed.

Manicheons May Not Be Wrong

They're all about efficacy and advantage, such that there is a real banality to this Administration's evil.

This person's screen name tells me everything I need to know about this subject. The fact is, the world is black and white. It's composed of white elements and black elements, and when you spin it, you get shades of gray.

No, But He Can Cut The Cheese

It is alright if I not sell melomel and Golda cheese, mixed with brownies, because the chemistry in the tummy makes some folk too giggly....

...I doubt I can learn to 'cut' brownies into fair equal slices. Maybe someday? Who knows?

Day And Night

Did shooter

Just admit Bush was homicidal?

I think he did.

-- jedimaster

`

I also believe he did. For the first time ever I was inclined to agree with Shooter.

Manichean is a new word for me. I understood it's meaning from the context in which it was used. I don't think it's neccessarily a bad thing to be Manichean as long as you are on the side of good. I'm a simple minded man who likes to keep things as simple as possible. I define evil as charateristics of the right wing, greed, authoritarianism, militarism, racism, etc. etc.. I define good as the liberalism implied in our Constitution.

I just looked up the mythology behind Manicheanism and it's a bit more nuanced than the word itself. It does however break the universe down into light and darkness, and I'm O.K. with that. All I know is that when I have a pleasant dream, it takes place in sunshine. Nightmares occur in darkness, and the ultimate nightmare in my imagination, is not some horrific fear or torture, it is merely the complete absence of light.

Just When You Thought The Screen On HBO Went Black

Here is what the great television reviewer, Tim Goodman of the S.F. Chronicle wrote about FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS.

Don't Listen to her Al, Don't!

Normally I at least read the post before I berate Camille. The headline is enough for me. Yeah Al, don't run. I don't want to vote for another Democrat anyway. Now I'll go back and read this piece of tripe.

Stop The Clock

Tucker Carlson is the host of "Tucker" on MSNBC.

My guess: A.J. kills Tony. I've thought that for the past several episodes, ever since they played "The End" by the Doors in a Bada Bing scene.

`

I haven't watched THE SOPRANOS this season, but even I know the Doors song playing at the Bada Bing was SOUL KITCHEN. You know, the one that starts out "The clock says it's time to go".

Speaking of which, why does Tucker Carlson have a T.V. show? My clock say it's almost time NOT to watch that mop headed blowhard. THE SOPRANOS is ending, yet Carlson is still on the air. Television is indeed a wasteland.

First, I must raise my objection to referring to individual persons in the plural: "the Bruce Feins, Bob Barrs, even George Wills."

What about "the Shooters"? There are at least 242 of them, they're all made of ticky-tacky, and they all look the same.

Reagan Wears Birthday Suit To His Own Funeral

The Republicans are the party of Bush, wishing they were the party of Reagan. Speaking of which. How ironic is it that Mike Huckabee said June 5th was Reagan's birthday, when actually it was the day he died.

It's Not T.V. It's FX

The anonymous first poster makes an excellent point. He/she is the Mackey of this thread. TomReedToon is the Shane. Having said that, THE SHIELD had another great season. It doesn't have the production values of THE WIRE or THE SOPRANOS, but it's clearly in their league. Since HBO is ending most of it's top shows, FX is the new king of T.V., even with the commercial interruptions. Now we have another season of RESCUE ME to look forward to, which is almost certainly going to be better than JOHN IN CINCINNATI.
