Just thought I'd let you know.
This point is so obvious that I'm sure people have already mentioned it, but it bears repeating. I'll go back and read the comments to see how many agree with me.
You absolutely would be better off with an orthodondist or a department store manager making decisions if he or she were serving under a competent president. Another thing, orthodontists and department store managers are just as qualified to be a political pundit as is Shailagh Murray.
Phil Sheehan is using the neo-con strategy of trying to portray his extreme right wing views as moderate. Sheehan is NOT a moderate. He voted for Bush, in the process, he betrayed his country and the Constitution on which it is founded.
I have more contempt for Phil Sheehan than people like Shooter, who at least don't lie about their true beliefs.
Mr. Sheehan, if you can provide evidence that you have posted similar concerns on the right wing blogs, I will apologize. Otherwise, you are just a right wing hack without the courage of your convictions.
"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God"? So now the Prince of Peace wants us to wage an endless war?
While we are on the subject of right wing Christian hypocracy, why aren't these people living their lives as orthodox Jews? Where in the Bible does it say it's O.K. to have a barbecue on Saturday?
Jews should swear a loyalty oath to the US
And if they refuse, there's Gitmo or the ocean.

RN, you're being ironic aren't you?
The consensus here seems to be to allow anonymous comments, but label them with a number or letter within the threads to prevent confusion. I concur.
However I do recommend that you leave the format as is. From a strictly visual perspective, Salon has a great comment section. The Huffington Post, for example has added so many bells and whistles to theirs, it's now too cluttered.
If you must delete comments, do so sparingly.
Staunch Bush supporters and neo-con strategists, Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore have come to the conclusion that the Iraq War is a miserablr failure.
In California Republican operatives are trying to pull off a scam on all Americans through a ballot initiative ironically called the Presidential Election Reform Act. If passed it would do pretty much what you seem to be recommending. Instead of awarding all fifty-five of our electoral votes to the winner, it would award them to the winner of each individual congressional district.
I'm all in favor of getting rid of the Electoral College, but this is exactly the wrong way to do it, short of passing an amendment to the Constitution. The correct way is to merely have the five or six most populous states agree to give ALL of their electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote.
If you live in California and someone asks you to sign a petition for Initiative No. 07-0032, not only should you not do so, you should stand by the person collecting signatures, and dissaude anyone else from signing it as well. This proposition must not get on our ballot.
I think there's too much emphasis placed on Tom Tomorrow's brilliant satire and not enough on his gorgeous artwork. My only criticism is that he makes those scumbags at Fox News look prettier than they really are.
Another pitcher who resurrected his career as a hitter was Smokey Joe Wood. The reason this is such a great story is because there is something "old school" about it. Back in the day, men were men. Pitchers were expected to go to war, hold down a job in the winter, and be able to hit.
You probably already know this but I read in THE NEW YORKER that olive oil producers are illegaly diluting their product with hazel nuts.
BTW is hemp a viable bio-fuel commodity?
Thanks for the posts, they brought back some great childhood memories. Wesley Powell, WTF, did Phil refuse to give you an autograph or something?
An indicator of an impending war with Iran is that the stock market will plunge. Hopefully this week's performance is only related to the sub-prime mortgage industry.
I e-mail my Congresswoman every month to tell her I don't care about legislation. I only want Congress to defund the war and to conduct investigations with the intent of restoring the checks and balances that are the bulwark against tyranny.
I wouldn't worry about that mophead Tucker Carlson. He is an unwatchable blowhard with the lowest rated show on MSNBC. It's well past time he is replaced, hopefully by Rachel Maddow or Stephanie Miller.
BTW HARDBALL is also unwatchable, except when Joan is on and Chris Matthews is on vacation. I frequently miss the first few minutes of Keith Olbermann, because I'm afraid of tuning in early and catching even a glimpse of Matthews.
That Anonymous is anything other than a chickenhawk.
I posted the last few paragraphs of this column on the Giants blog of the S.F. Chronicle. Needless to say, the idea that Jim Edmunds is a better fielder than Willie Mays was booed mercilessly.
King's comment on page four is spot on. When it comes to fielding, stats are helpful, but ultimately, perception IS reality.
